  1. Without any hate added in, I would say that Olsen is about two to three times better than Brady. Olsen came in as a natural. Brady seemed somewhat uncomfortable in the beginning, but has shown signs of improvement. Romo does a decent job as well. There's something about knowing the game, and, as a fan, I always appreciate ex-players-turned-announcers who not only know their position, but everyone's position.
  2. That's not gonna go do it. They're going to have to give us that pick 43. Honestly, I think that we'll do better than that when someone wants to move in front of New Orleans for Sanders or Dart.
  3. Luvu drove me crazy sometimes with the over-pursuing. Walker's pursuit and tackling is truer. He's an exponentially better pass rusher as well. Walker ain't no joke out there. Admittedly I'm a Dawg, but Walker is a lot closer to Micah than Luvu. Bank it!
  4. I mean, most receivers don't necessarily break out their rookie season. It wasn't a good year, including injuries, and it may have dampened excitement, but didn't snuff it completely out, at least probably for most people.
  5. I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities. Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT, regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
  6. Wharton is "literally just a rotational player," until he isn't. Guys can only take advantage of the opportunities given to them, and of course some of that is going to depend upon the circumstances---the setting in which he is playing.
  7. It's "moronic" to take a DE, provided that a TE or WR is the obviously superior player. Reaching for players is why we are where we are today. Reaching for players, particularly on day one, is not a viable recipe for team building, much less championships.
  8. I mean, "massive haul?" That's subjective. If we picked up an extra 1 and a 2, that'd be pretty good.
  9. You guys need to stop acting like asking football-related questions on a football message board is "moronic." And, honestly, there's not a lot of poo for us to discuss anyway. Aren't some of you tired of beating the same ol' dead horses? I know that, as Panthers fans, we've been sucked into a vortex of general dead horse narratives anyway, but giving canned, dead horse responses doesn't exactly add anything constructive to the atmosphere.
  10. The OP didn't mention trading up.
  11. Well, we don't know. But we'll know all we need to know on the 24th, including whether he and Davie boy will be here in two years.
  12. We shouldn't be taking any of them near or in the top 10 (save for Abdul Carter who isn't going to drop).
  13. Why? So you can see the fugup sooner than later?
  14. Because he's short and smallish for a pro EDGE.
  15. What you guys don't realize is that we have every reason to be deploying smokescreens, while also keeping our top pick close to the vest after what Xavier Legette did last year. I'm not believing that we're taking Williams at eight for a minute.
  16. Yeah, Warren "does more than Pitts," which is important, but the most profound difference--that should be at least stated---is that Warren is a dawg and Pitts is not. That's super important when making that comparison.
  17. I'm not counting on it, but that is kinda my desire.
  18. I realize that it's the lying season, and it's all a chess game, but I've been hearing that both the Browns and the Giants might forego using their top picks on a QB to take Carter and Hunter. If that happens, both QBs could slide to appreciably later in the round. Moreover, the Raiders just extended Geno.
  19. Yep, I'd be shocked if we pass him up (without trading down for other picks, that is).
  20. Don't really know why you guys don't believe that Warren is a conventional TE. I mean, he is a conventional TE, and had a highly productive year as a TE in a big-boy conference. The Taysom Hill comp is fugazi.
  21. Been wondering about you. Glad to hear you're doing fine. The Panthers are the Panthers, so no need to get overly excited or overly nonplussed. It's a wait-and-see approach, like we've become accustomed to. One day during the 2020s, maybe we'll finally get to say, "They know what they're doing." Until then, who knows?
  22. I don't think anyone that was realistic thought that he could afford the team. Just imagine if he had swung it, the Panthers would be looking for a new owner right now.
