PFF ain't. Morgan gave him a first round grade. On an off note, the draft was deep at EDGE, so it stands to reason that Scourton would be better than his draft spot. The same is true for Princely Umanmielen.

PFF raves about our draft. The best class in the whole draft?

Better than what Rhule was putting out for sure. -

Panthers reach deal with Muhsin 'Moose' Muhammad III

Wow, another receiver. I didn't even know Moose had a son playing ball. Good luck to him. T-Mac and XL are the locks. The rest will be an interesting battle. -

Dude is only 29 years old, and still has plenty in the tank. I'm telling you, "Don't underestimate Renfrow."

Finally, a John Kasay replacement.

Well, you haven't heard a peep out of him, and you haven't heard of him interfering either. Maybe it's just a show, but why should he put on one, as he's the owner? -

Sorry, man. FWIW, Tepper has certainly done himself, the team and the fans a disservice. The Huddle was a once vibrant and valued part of the fan base by the franchise. We were like ground zero and funnelled a lot of energy into the franchise, so fug Tepper regarding changing things for the negative. -

I should literally be a millionaire by late next year, but that's too rich for my blood. I'm out! -
But do Wildcats hate Smitty though?
-
Not saying that you're saying that Smitty was questioning his work ethic per se, but let me say that I don't think Smitty is questioning his work ethic as much as he is saying that T-Mac was inconsistent and, "Why?" Smitty did talk to nine different people. I don't know why Wildcats fans would be so upset, because at least he said that T-Mac has a relatively high floor and is bust-proof in so many words. Fans gonna be fans though, and being butt-hurt is a part of it.

I have listened to Smitty's reviews, especially the one on Mingo, and Smitty was still positive but still decidedly noncommittal at the end of the day. He never ever said that Mingo was going to be some great receiver. Y'all need to be truthful.
-
Smitty is out here guessing like everyone is. He's wrong a lot for sure, but not wrong all the time. That being said, he should know that it doesn't even take blazing or even great speed to have a damned good career. He was the little man who played like a big man. Loved his effort (even though he admitted that he took plays off at some point during his career)! I think he's growing though...hopefully. He's particularly hard on receivers that he perceives as not putting in the necessary effort. On an off note: Truthfully--being totally honest--If there was another asshole receiver just like Smitty, I'd draft him in a heartbeat if I were a GM and had the opportunity.

Yeah, me too. Now if Bryce wins us a Super Bowl, then I might have to revisit it. There's nothing earth-shattering here though. For me it's kind of hard to judge a trade like this one because it's five versus one. The five should almost always beat the one. The team trading for a number one draft pick and overall QB are likely always going to lose that trade by its very nature because they're basically gonna have to bend over in order to move up in that scenario. At least that's my thoughts on it.
-
Bryce cannot afford a repeat of his past seasons, the last one in particular. It's consistent growth time, and it must be in our face and not just perceptible. This season is it, or we must turn the page. Experiments don't last forever. At some point the Investment has to produce acceptable results.

I think what he is saying is that we went from mediocre to joke status--a virtual bottom feeder. Sure, we've never been a top tier team on a consistent basis, but we went to the Bowl twice (under JR). Tepper made some bad decisions, but, perhaps unlike others, I absolutely know that it takes time to figure things out, and it has to be super difficult to be a "boss" in one business, and then going through the process and realizing that you are a virtual greenhorn in another. At least we seem to be headed in the right direction. We'll see come this fall.
