    I don’t think he’s American.

    Both are American.

Lol yeah I never would have gotten that one.

Here's a mashup. I'm gonna assume that you know Rod Wave. Got to pump it on more than a phone to get the full effect.

This isn't a ACL tear. I would say his chances of returning to form are great.

A ruptured patellar tendon offers worse odds than an ACL. The fact is, no one knows his potential to return to form. It's certainly too early to know anything, especially from a fan's viewpoint. I hope he returns, but the fact is is that only around 50-55 percent of NFL players across all positions return at all from this injury according to Google AI, and roughly 22 percent of them return to their previous level of play after two years. For O-lineman it's likely even less considering their weight and movement requirements for the job. I truly hope for the best, but we can't count on him returning, much less returning to form. I tell you all this in order to inform you of the seriousness of the situation.

  3. I got called into HR one time, as they were doing their research after a verbal altercation that I had with another employee. He was the one that started the sh¡t and had the nerve to go to HR. Well, I did the meeting, & the manager gave me her card & said if there was anything else I wanted to say regarding the investigation, to contact her. I thought about it later that day, so I used our company email and told her that I was willing to take a lie detector test, and that if he and his two friends were willing to do the same, once it was determined that they were lying and that I was telling the truth, then they would have to be punished accordingly. Funny thing is, after that, I never heard from her again, or anything about the investigation. It's like it never happened.

Anyway, yeah 89 isn't doing himself any favors with this one. He wants to fight with a guy old enough to be his dad because of Rivera's lack of communication, even if there was some perceived hypocrisy going on. That's just not a good look.

I agree. That's what I'm hearing and seeing when I watch his clips the way he moves is Reggie bush like. He's a difference maker athletically. We don't have anyone like that on our roster offensively that just moves like an elite change of direction speed type. He's a first rounder for that reason.

Now if everyone is saying he's a first rounder based on talent, we aren't bringing back dowdle, we don't know what we have in brooks or if he will be the same when he returns, Chubba is a fine back let's not act like he does anything at an elite level. He's not super fast break away speed or power change of direction. How would love not even be considered?

I'm not like most people in this thread in regards to Love. I'm not like most in regards to RBs either. I think certain ones will always be drafted in the first round because they are valued that highly. From an on-the-field perspective, they are as valued as ever; business-wise and contract-wise at times to re-up, that's where things can get tricky with valuation. That being said, Love oozes potential and makes higher-ups' mouths water. I know that he if somehow he is available at 19, he will be considered if not taken. You don't leave that type of talent on the board unless there is another compelling player of arguably equal or more value at another position of need that may have a higher priority (like maybe Sonny Styles). Now all that being said, I  don't realistically see either one of them being there at 19 according to the draftniks.

I already had a DL penciled in for this draft but now it's practically guaranteed. It went from a quiet need that a lot of people were overlooking to a pretty pressing need without Robinson.

It is a pressing need, but there are several pressing needs. I would still think that OL, LB and Safety are just as important, if not more.

He would drop based on the reason everyone else in here is saying. Running backs aren't valuable and you shouldn't take them in the first. I do think that mindset is changing. Your seeing guys like Jenty Gibbs, Bijaun and Hampton prove their worth. But not everyone is ready to accept that change. This dropping his value

The things I've been hearing about him is that he's going to be taken in the first round because he is that good. Many analysts believe that he is the best player in the draft.

I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer.
Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?

I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.

The new Jags' staff would like to re-sign Lloyd, they just can't afford him. That's the reality. Teams can't afford players that outplay their contracts every year. That's all this is.

The question goes back to where they declined to pick up the 5th year. That wasn’t really a decision made because it was cost prohibitive, was it?
They haven’t been real stable organizationally, for a while. But it just seems like that would have been a formality if they were happy with him. So my question would be, why did they decline?

Because they had a different staff that was not putting him into the best position to thrive, though he was still above average (unlike what some were suggesting during preseason), and that staff was fired.

Everyone always acts like a top pick is the only way to find a franchise QB but in this current century it has empirically not led to championships.

    Because the teams/FOs suck.

The way I figure it, if one team can win with a Matthew Stafford or Sam Darnold, then another can, especially since they drafted them. Again, the reason that they didn't win a championship is because FOs and HCs aren't doing good jobs at the end of the day with team building, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and ultimately putting QBs into the best situations to succeed.

Team could improve slightly yet the record could decline.

I want to think we’ll be better, but my optimism was never high and it is dulled by Icky’s loss. I think if we properly address LOT, it takes away an important potential upgrade elsewhere.

Playing together as one can still improve, individuals can still improve, but some will also decline.

Maybe I should ask those who expect a three game W-L improvement: why? What will be the cause for that?

We have to start winning, no excuses.

I wouldn't slot us in at 11-6, but that would borderline be amazing considering our record in conjunction with the inconsistency, blowout losses and the way that we played the last month of the season. There was way too much Jekyll and Hyde last season to make me believe that the supposed "stability" isn't built on anything but sand.

I'll be extremely happy to be wrong.

  11. Well, I wouldn't expect Luke Kuechly to be negative. I'll begin to buy the positivity when I see the results of free agency and the draft, but I won't actually buy in until I see steady improvement from a win-loss perspective during the 2026 season. Bryce Young and coaching on both sides of the ball will play a huge part in regards to that bottom line.

I understand and agree with the sentiment. That said I think the definition of “BPA” differs from one person/team to the next.

I know people say they draft BPA but have a feeling there is some rationalization to getting to that point.

Personally I would have a formula based on raw assessment then look at other criteria such as team fit and roster impact (forecast number of expected game play, starts snaps etc…).

Otherwise u could end up with 4RBs  backs and 3 CBs.

I agree. The "problem" is that we'll never know exactly what the formula is. There is undoubtedly a "need" component in the calculus, but I seriously doubt that elite teams are in the business of drafting needs at the expense of drafting generational guys, or even guys they suspect will be good or solid players for years to come. And, as you suggested, "fit" plays a big part of that calculus as well.

At this point, there are several positions that we could justify using day one and two picks on. I'm looking forward to see what they come up with. Moreover, the plan is always to use FA to set up the draft, so that one doesn't feel compelled to do something stupid based upon needs.
