  1. Sheena Quick has her ear to the ground more than any of the national writers when it comes to the Panthers. She said he didn't want to come her back when rumors first surfaced during the season and implied it was partially due to the fall out with Cam at the time. I'm inclined to believe her considering all the news she's broke recently. Doesn't mean that didn't stop Tepper/Rhule from trying to get him, which is probably why they wanted to talk to him.
  2. For the record I love Penning, but not at 6. I think he's fore sure going to be a mid 1st rounder between 15-25 I bet. He would be someone I'd target in a trade down scenario. He has a bit of Taylor Lewan to him I think.
  3. The assumption is that Darnold would be re-signed. If the oline plays better, I wouldnt be surprised to see Darnold play better. That doesn't mean they have to extend him. If everyone improves as you suggest, there is real value in drafting a QB in 2023 and having that rookie contract. That value supercedes any form of success Darnold may have, at least in Fitterers mind.
  4. The biggest issue I have at this scenario is taking Pickett at 6 with no assets to address the Oline on day two in an extremely deep class. You want to trade back and take a shot at Pickett? Fine. That said I'm taking Willis > Pickett at 6. Give me something to be exciting to watch on Sundays
  5. This is the comp I keep seeing evaluators give him. I think it's more based on the 1 yr wonder thing in college
  6. Didn't Rhule once say he will never fire anyone? I feel like not blocking specific people from interviewing else where just allows the door to swing open enough to where he can replace them without being the bad guy.
  7. Knowing our luck, the NFL will have us play in Germany and keep us in Europe to play the Saints in the UK the week after.
  8. I wonder who he will add to his ownership group to get the rest of the money. No way his net worth of $450M will get the job done alone.
  9. This is my feeling with the class as well, which is why I'd lean towards taking Willis who has the tools and hope he can be developed. Everyone else to me just looks like more mediocre versions of lower tier starting QBs like Jared Goff, Jimmy G and Ryan Tannehill.
  10. Kafka was a guy I wanted to interview here. I don't think his name was ever mentioned...
  11. Who is reporting that? He looked like the best QB on the field between both teams today. He's been the most impressive QB all week.
  12. Malik Willis showed out today. I have a feeling he will be QB1 on a lot of boards after this weekend.
  13. Well there is your pitch to Aaron Rodgers to come to Carolina..
  14. That would be a horrible career move for Dorsey. He's next in line for OC in Buffalo. He should stick with Allen if he wants his name in the HC cycle next season or two.
  15. I'm not expecting anything from him in NY. Bills fans have wanted him gone for awhile now and there was even some tension between him and McDermott at the end of the season.
  16. Carolina, Seattle, Arizona, Dallas and possibly Atlanta are teams I could see go another direction. I could see Bucs on that list is Arians decides to hang it up again.
  17. I'm not high on Sam Powell at all, so he wouldn't be one I'd be thrilled about moving back into the 1st for.
  18. He wouldnt be my pick day at 6 for sure. If we traded back in the 1st and grabbed a 2nd, I think I'd consider taking him with that 1st considering the oline depth in this draft.
  19. I think Willis sneaks into the 1st round. He is tough to pinpoint because I could see a team falling in love with his performance at the Senior Bowl and Combine. He could easily be the 1st QB off the board or the 5th. Strong is more of a day 2 guy. I'd say probably late 2nd or 3rd.
  20. He's definitely raw, but I think he has the most promise of any QB in this draft. If you liked Trey Lance last year, there is no reason to not like Willis this year. He's not going to be a Day 1 starter, but if I'm riding with Darnold for a year then handing over the reigns to Willis, I'm all for it. He's already been compared to Josh Allen in terms of arm strength and Vick/McNair in terms of escapablity and running with the ball.
  21. He reminds me a lot of Nick Foles when he came out of college.
  22. Maybe we can just call up Joe Brady again and run it back
  23. Only reason you sawctgat with Horn is because his camp put it out there. I wouldnt say Darnold is an obvious example and isnt motivated to get better. Pretty sure Darnold still trains with Jesse Palmer and Bills QB Josh Allen in the offseason.
