Or want some $$$ from a grandma.

Hey it's not like social security's going to be around by the time this kid reaches retirement age. Might as well get a hold of those funds while he has the chance, amirite?

I wouldn't press charges, but I would make this a very good lesson for your child.  Between young drivers, texting, and young drivers texting....I'm almost scared to ride my bike anywhere these days.

Please don't be THAT family and press charges.

He's fine, she apologized and was probably scared to death she hurt him. It's over.

Christ, us older guys all had worse accidents on bikes when we were kids and definitely didn't have one of our mommies trailing us in a car. Boys get scuffed up. It happens.

make the bitch pay...that's your boy she tried to maim with her Buick!

I kid of course...get her on a monthly fresh baked good delivery plan and call it a day.  Not everyday that someone goes out of their way to apologize etc.

I think the big question will be, did your son run a stop sign? You have to remember where you live too. NC is the only place in the world that you can be rear ended when not even stopped and they don't ticket the fat cow that did it

Let's hope they get a good lawyer right?

not sure I follow

Police report to know who is at fault and the doctor to make sure your kid is alright.

Unless your cool with your kids dying in the middle of the night bc they have a concussion and you just told them to rub some dirt on it.

I agree that pressing charges is not the way to go- but i feel like if i hit a kid on a bike- i would expect something more to happen than just a "oops, my bad"

again based on your story it seems like your son wasn't following rule of the road and luckily no one got hurt
