What Broncos Fans Are Saying

Broncos have had national exposure all year and for several years.  They usually get the nationally televised late afternoon game with the #1 CBS crew Nantz and Simms, if they're not playing on Sunday or Monday Night...  they've had numerous Super Bowl appearances and countless playoff runs.  This is new for the Panthers and their fans, the excitement and all.  It's old hat to the Broncos, the coaches and their old QB.

I'd like to see the Panthers face this game with realistic expectations...   not over-hyping their chances only to be left with their expectations dashed by halftime and spend the second half in a cold sweat panic.

Let's see Russell Wilson and Doug Williams.

Those names ring a bell for you and your national exposure?   Two of the worst Defeats in Super Bowl history.

What do they have in common with Cam....... Think about it......

Let's see Opponent Denver Broncos........and hhhmmmmmmm got it yet?

And Cam is?   Figured it out yet.

As the great John Fox used to say...... IT IS WHAT IT IS.

If the Panthers can generally keep the pressure on D, Pound the ball on Offense, and make a few big plays here and there, we'll see a victory.

Payton will not go quietly into the night.  The Broncos are still stinging from the Seattle beat down in 2012.  They also feel disrespected because they are the underdogs and it's all about Cam's pants.  And it's the Superb Owl...

No, both teams are going to go at each other 110%.  If we control the ball, force turnovers and prevent the big play, then we'll win.  If not, it's way tougher.  I would personally love another cruise control, 4th quarter pictures blow out, but I don't see that happening.  Payton will leave everything out on the field.

fwiw, last night on NFL Network Eisen asked his Deion Sanders what his biggest take away from the night was and Sanders said, "The Broncos defense, those guys had a confidence, a swagger about them. They are ready."

I caught that too. Like he could catch that watching them walk down the stairs.

He prolly still feeling a little salty after being dissed by J'NOs big fug you.

We can cover their recievers, not worried about their run game either. Cam is another animal though. Olsen is a top 3 tight end

The Broncos have played two injury depleted teams en route to the Superbowl.  The Steelers playing without Deangelo Williams and Antonio Brown, and the Patriots with more injuries than are even worth mentioning.  The Broncos came very close to losing both games.

The Steelers and Patriots essentially abandoned the run in the games against the Broncos, not because the Broncos are good at stopping the run, but because both teams were starting their third and fourth string RBs.

The Broncos only played two teams in the top 10 for rushing yards per game this season: The Kansas City Chiefs, who beat the Broncos handily in KC, and almost beat the Broncos in Denver if it weren't for a late 4th quarter Jamaal Charles fumble.  And the Minnesota Vikings, who came within a late FG of beating the Broncos in Denver.  I really don't think the Broncos are ready to stop the Panthers rushing attack, which will open up the passing game for Cam.

This game won't even be close.

The panthers are the Arizona Cardinals without mistakes. #11 ranked offense and #6 ranked defense. They are not the top offense or defense team but good in both.

They are an 11-5 team with a average SOS

They are also the 24th ranked passing attack. Possibly worse than the chiefs? So like a lot of folks here maybe the chiefs is a good comparison as they too capitalize on turnovers. However, Imagine the chiefs without Hali and Houston. I am glad our RT is not facing an elite edge rusher this game.

Heard it guys...........  we are just an 11-5 team if we had a slightly stronger SOS.              What idiots.

I mean,  hell..   the offenses we faced this season had an overall better ranking than the offenses the Broncos faced this season.

This game feels sort of like the Giants game. Us (fans) underestimating possibly the greatest QB of all time? Their defense is #1 for a reason boys. We will have a very bad game on offense. But thankfully. I believe that we will shut down Manning and we win

13-10

It's #1 in yards allowed. Points per game is a better indicator. By your logic, the Seahawks should have given us fits, but they didn't. The Seahawks were ranked #1 in ppg defense, Denver's 4th. The Seahawks ranked #1 in run defense, Denver's 3rd. The Panthers offense scored 24 points in the 1st half before going into run the clock conservative mode, which Rivera learned from and changed in the Cardinals game. Our deceptive running game will give the Broncos over-aggressive defense fits, neutralizing their pass rush and setting up some nice play-action downfield. The Broncos are not built to handle our offense, they're built for high volume passing offenses like the Patriots.
