arsen.... you're smarter than this. benzema was wonderful tonight. he was all over the place, coming back to provide outlets, and spring attacks. tracking back defensively, and making some smart runs (even if he didn't get a pure goal from them). i'm the first one to say that benz probably is the most replaceable at madrid, but he was the man of the match by a mile before bale came on.

nah... he's probably the heir apparent to ronaldo on the lw, with someone like mbappe, neymar, hazard, etc being the future at rw. madrid likes him on the left for some reason, even though hes best on his left foot. he's played a bit of false 9, and cam, but he's certainly gained most of his minutes at lw/lm. spain has used him up top to varying degrees of success, but madrid/zidane definitely prefer him on the wing.

Not really. He's not Gareth Bale or Mo Salah out there, but he's not slow. I would say he's probably more of an Eden Hazard type in the pace department. Certainly viable at LW.

Hazard is extremely quick with amazing acceleration...  Not sure Asensio is Hazard type.  Asensio is a better striker but Hazard is a much better dribbler.  Hazard size and weight very similar to Salah.  Asensio is 4-5 inches taller and weights less.

Liverpool are doing amazing things...  Just sign Fabinho from Monaco and Naby Keita from Leipzig.  Both for about £100M.  Arsenal tried to sign Fabinho but he picked Liverpool (who can blame him?).  If Liverpool can get s new goalie and better wingers, watch out.

Bale will try to join Manchester United this summer.  Pogba apparently is not happy at United and might seek transfer to LaLiga.  Pogba was a flop at United only showing up on some occasions. United already lined up Pogba replacement, Lazio Sergej for reported fee of £100M.
