Not the best movies of all time but movies that I think I enjoyed the most:

1. Fight Club

2. Point Break

3. Forrest Gump

4. American History X

5. Into the Wild

Fight Club and Into the Wild are probably in my top 10 overall, regardless of genre.

ETA I once had a Tyler Durden alt here IIRC

It really depends on the genre... Too hard to pick a top 5 overall because I like lots of movies a whole lot. So, here's my top 5 critically underrated/overlooked sci-fi films

1. Coherence

2. The Island

3. The Signal (2014)

4. Moon

5. No Escape (1994)

Might need to check some of those out.  Only seen Moon, which I liked.

JFK  (So many wasted hours going down that assassination conspiracy theory rabbit hole, but it is a great movie).

Raiders of the Lost Ark.  (First movie I saw in the theater)

Back to the Future

Big Trouble in Little China

Mad Max: Fury Road

I'll never forget bringing that movie home from the video store and my father scoffing at it.  My father is the biggest movie snob in the world.  We started watching it and he ended up loving it too.

LOL that’s funny, it was the opposite for me, my dad brought the tape home and I looked at the VHS box art and said that looks stupid I don’t want to watch it.

I think we ended up rewinding the ally fight scene 10 times that night just loving it.

I’ll do quotes from that movie still and people will look at me like I’m insane.
