I swear social media has become people's replacements for diaries, except the whole world sees it.

Despite what Cam fans think, Cam is mortal and human like everyone else. As a fierce competitor, he's probably at a time and place right now wondering about his health and future as an athlete like anyone else and it probably bugs him. Probably irritated at the fact it's possible he won't do what he loves for much longer, or at the least feels the uncertainty of it.

I do really wish he'd dedicate the offseason is getting second opinions and what not and go ahead with the surgery, but I am a selfish fan. If he wants to go the whole physical therapy route etc. it's his body and I respect, and as a fan I know that's not going to work for him because it hasn't in the past. Surgery is a big deal and shouldn't be taken lightly, it could have very bad effects.

He was having a great year but even if he continued, this team was going no where because even then he was unable to throw the long ball and plays needed in the playoffs.

    • Pretty sure that a QB contract payday is all the competition any QB in this league needs, I don't think a competent backup is going to make them play any harder when the current situation wouldn't warrant the contract extension yet anyways. Your opening point in this post is also the problem, "Bryce has shown signs of improving", but that's still all he's shown, and he's only showing that because of just how bad he was to start his career. If he played like last season from the beginning and never improved one bit, then I actually think more fans would be ready to move on from him, which is what's weird.  It's like going from one of the biggest draft busts of all time into the 25th best QB in the league over 3 years means he deserves a long term $40+ million a year contract extension. Improvement shouldn't be the goal when the result of said improvement is still bottom of the league levels.
    • Yeah, but we've seen him do it. Just not often. I think that's the reason for the taller WRs. Would likely be a problem finding someone like Jimmy Horn in the mess.
    • And the Rams, Seattle, Patriots, Green Bay, Jaguars and the Bills who all made the playoffs and in case you forgot, Seattle and the Patriots played in the SB. By any measure, that's pretty brutal.
