No, realize I was kind of misleading here. Companies are still "open" but all personal not absolutely required working onsite is told to work from home (think administration, marketing, phone support and so on) - or simply has been sent home with pay or fired. They run with a minimum of personel required onsite to keep the operation and production up and running. So our vital infrastructure,  shipping indutry, food supply and so on is still up running   :-)

This isn't terribly different than what is happening here. Just slower and at a state and municipal level. Schools are closing and almost all sports cancelled and many companies are encouraging working remotely. Problem is we don't have the sense of collectivism. Some politicians are encouraging people to go out. Heck I got lectured on here by some dipstick yesterday for self quarantining. "Gubmint can't tell me what to do! This is America damnit!

Thanks Happy,

The link is very good and gives a  more precise explanation of what I was trying to explain :-)

It is not sufficient however since it is already 3 days old. Yesterday at 12 o clock borders were also closed (like in Norway yesterday) and all danish citizens not living in other companies has been been told to come home immediatly. All news media (flanked with virus specialists) emphasizing today the urgent need to stay at home with your family unless you HAVE to go outside for urgent matters (and then stay at least 2 meters away from other people).

Btw. Germany just closed their border as well to Denmark.

Italy: 362 dead from corona last 24 hours. Denmark now have 3 dead, but we are expected to be 14 days "after" italy. But it is our hope that the early measures will keep our numbers lover...

If no reinfection, then expound on the terrible idea part

What's to be gained? Now you have a segment of the population who has been infected who will likely have natural resistance to the disease. Okay, but that's going to happen naturally without intentionally infecting healthy people and having to provide care and quarantine for them. Inevitably a small portion of them will still develop serious illness and a very small portion may even die. The optics on that are gonna be fuging AWFUL.

Maybe the military has better things to do right now, understood, but, I don't think what we know about the virus right now tells us that 20 somethings in perfect health are going to die.  I also would not publicize is a lot.  Probably much less of a risk than a tour in Afghanistan.

Just thinking outside the box of quick ways to get (immunized help) in hospitals and police departments around the country if needed.

Same thought process as when you have wildfires burning up thousands of acres.  Backlighting, so to speak.  A controlled burn, sort of.

I know, just not much to do on a Sunday afternoon but talk about this crap

We don't know the long term affects of the virus. Maybe those who got Covid when they were you have an increased risk of cancer later.

Also we may not know the exact mortality rate  but young people are dying. This article suggests at a rate similar to SARS (.2%).

A question from left field here, just thinking out loud.

Knowing that the virus is pretty minimally troubling to people in their 30's, would it be a good idea, or would it have been a good idea, for the military to purposefully infect those with very good health, so that when they are over it, they would no longer be susceptible and be able to fill in for nursing and police forces, etc.

My wife says I am crazy, she probably right

Problem is, that nobody really knows how this virus attacks. We've already seen healthy guys in their 40s die, here in Italy.
@Danish Panther please be safe man. 3k more positives here today. From the stats, 124k have been tested so far.
Meanwhile, in the UK, nobody is taking any precautions, no event has been canceled...

Yeah I saw the post with the governor. That is the side of human nature I was trying to describe in my initial post. He has just not YET understood and accepted  that is absolutely key to stay home in figthing the virus.

For comparison - this was friday night in one of the biggest and most popular "bar" streets in denmark (Jomfru Ane gade):slide

Don't know if it was you or someone else posted a pic of the gov of Oklahoma, but that right there is the problem we are facing.  Idiots that have been voted into office leading people to their deaths and people too ill informed or too gd stupid to realize it.  The thing that pisses me off about it the most is they are basically endangering millions of folks with their bs.  When the dust settles from this some day, I hope they are brought up on charges.

Thanks @Al Morgan. We danes talk a lot about you guys down there, and follow the reports from espacialy Lombardy region. Just devastating to follow... However, incredible inspiring to see Italian people standing together and trying to keep up their good spirits by singing opera and so on from their balconys, in this very, very, sad time for the country.

UK ??? Just mind blowing approach. Heck, a dane just won All England Badminton tournament today. Noone here is talking about his victory - those who are, is all like "WTF - was this not cancelled?"

Take care and stay safe down there - hope you are very close to the tipping point...

    • This is a two-part quiz that takes 5 minutes to take--if you need modification, they are available. Once you submit the answers to the first 2 questions (3 total answers) you take the USA Today online NFL Draft Quiz.  Complete the template below in your response.  Later tonight (after 8 pm), I will share the answers to the first two questions--please do not share your results until after 8 PM.  Obviously, if you choose not to participate, just don't participate and leave the replies for those who want to do this. (Honor system--Googling is CHEATING) 1.  Franchises with the most #1 picks in NFL History (2 are correct), so this counts as 2 points, 1 for each correct answer:  a) Bucs b) Jets c) Colts d) Rams e) Oilers/Titans 2.  How many #1 overall picks for the teams above were the most in NFL history? a) 3 b) 5 c) 6 d) 7 e) 9 OK for the next 10 questions, go to the link and take the 10 question online quiz.  Report your answers for the 2 questions above and the number correct from your online quiz. https://draftwire.usatoday.com/2021/11/01/nfl-draft-history-trivia-quiz/ SCALE:  12-13 correct:   Draft Royalty - you probably cheated though. 10-11  correct:  Stud.  Your brain is full of useless information. 8-9  correct:  Mr. or Mrs. Mediocre, which has probably been your goal for some time. 6-7  correct:  Snorkeler:  You can't quite reach the surface of the NFL knowledge pool, but you are close. 4-5  correct:  Life Support Recipient.  The people around you are Huddlers voting when to pull the plug.  0-3 correct:  Blue Tent Dweller.  You scored below random chance, meaning a toddler or monkey could have done better.  Stay in the blue tent.  The team is doing well without your input.   There is a non-monetary reward and consequence for being the top and low score.  All in fun.
    • Taking care of your eyes is one of the most important aspects of your health. You need them to navigate through walking, driving, and surfing the Internet. If you are searching for ways to keep your eyes protected, you are in luck. This article has several suggestions to help you out. Don't smoke. You probably already know that there are many serious dangers related to cigarette smoking. One of the less-known dangers is developing Age-related Macular Degeneration(AMD). Several scientific studies have shown that the patients who did smoke were much more likely to develop AMD than those who didn't smoke. Just another reason not to start smoking or to quit today. Avoid touching your eyes with your hand during the day if you had not washed your hands. When you are on the job or in school, your hands are in contact with surfaces that are full of bacteria. If you touch your eyes, you will transfer the bacteria to your eyes and raise the risk if an eye infection.     Click Here:   https://sourdough.com/posts/non-alcoholic-fatty-liver-disease-solution-reviews-julissa-clays-liver-support-program-worth   https://sourdough.com/posts/neuropathy-no-more-jodi-knapp-reviews-blue-heron-health-news-nerve-pain-relief-guide-book   https://sourdough.com/posts/neuropure-reviews-does-nerve-pain-supplement-work-or-any-side-effects-uk-canada-and-australia   https://sourdough.com/posts/joint-restore-gummies-update-april-2024-it-safe-ingredients-side-effects-customer-reviews   https://sourdough.com/posts/xitox-reviews-customer-alert-april-2024-deep-cleansing-foot-pads-worth-buying   https://sourdough.com/posts/septifix-tablets-reviews-customer-warning-septic-tank-treatment-tablets-worth-buying   https://sourdough.com/posts/eye-fortin-reviews-shocking-report-does-it-improve-vision-and-it-safe-usa-uk-canada-and   https://sourdough.com/posts/bone-density-solution-reviews-blue-heron-health-news-shelly-manning%E2%80%99s-program-book-legit-worth   https://sourdough.com/posts/okinawa-flat-belly-tonic-real-user-feedback-exposed-ingredients-april-2024   https://sourdough.com/posts/auto-lotto-processor-reviews-updated-2024-it-legit-software-real-customer%E2%80%99s-report-exposed   https://sourdough.com/posts/lottery-increaser-reviews-customer-warning-april-2024-winning-lottery-system-legit-pdf   https://sourdough.com/posts/lottery-maximizer-reviews-real-user-responses-my-honest-experience-price-discount   https://sourdough.com/posts/lottery-defeater-software-reviews-consumer-reports-everything-you-need-know-buying   https://sourdough.com/posts/lotto-profits-software-reviews-customer-alert-legit-lottery-prediction-system-2024-must-read   https://sourdough.com/posts/gut-go-reviews-new-consumer-complaints-dont-buy-gut-health-formula-until-you-read   https://sourdough.com/posts/claritox-pro-reviews-updated-2024-does-it-provide-relief-vertigo-and-dizziness-ingredients   https://sourdough.com/posts/septifix-tablets-reviews-updated-2024-does-septifix-septic-tank-treatment-tablets-work-where
