Not quoting the wall of text, but he said "If anybody else was President, this wouldn't have happened".

And I agree with that. But youre in denial if you cant see that the presidents comments and attititudes had a negative impact on the contries effort to deal with the pandemic.

If we come out of this situation far better than was projected the government takes some credit....I guess with aiding with supply's where needed but the american people deserve a round of applause.  Once again as we have shown over the years we can walk and whoop ass at the same time.  The people beat it, not the GOV.

Given we had an early warning compared to other countries, our rate of infection compared to other countries, the rate of death, the availability of essential hospital supplies, we sucked. And tell people who have lost their jobs and love ones we whoop ass. I think they wouldnt be so enthusiastic. Furthermore its not over. We are just starting to see the economic impact. Imagine if we would have prepared in January like we should have.

I try to look at the better of things by nature.  Of course this is a disaster.  However I'm seeing people at the ground level helping people every day.  7 guys I work with gave their tax returns to a few family's struggling to keep ahead of payments.

Nevermind.

I wish I had the option. I have a wife and kid, mortgage interest to write off, student loan interest to write off, we claim 0 dependents on our taxes and withhold a little extra on each paycheck on top of that and we STILL end up just hoping to break even. I think we ended up owing an extra $300 or something like that this year.

Point is people who can help are.  No one says everyone has to do more than the other.  Just do what you can to help.  If that's nothing that's ok too.

Bytes posted the facts I kept arguing about. Lives were lost, and people are still dying today, because of how our country handled the situation. Unfortunately, we can’t change the past. We can control our future, so staying at home for the next year or so, will become our reality.

Yep, social distancing protocols will remain a part of life until there's a vaccine available. We'll probably have a few different waves where stay at home measures are implemented again. The same people who bitch and moan about it are the same ones who didn't want to do anything to begin with that led to this being our reality.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/u-s-spy-agencies-collected-raw-intel-hinting-public-health-n1180646

“U.S. spy agencies collected raw intelligence hinting at a public health crisis in Wuhan, China, in November, two current and one former U.S. official told NBC News, but the information was not understood as the first warning signs of an impending global pandemic.”

Umm *cough* As I’ve been saying all along.

Did you calculate the % of infected and deaths, yourself?

Because those numbers you have there, it would be comparing apple's and oranges or something.

About the Swedish numbers:

The % of infected is not accurate because its mostly only people whom are getting hospital treatment that is being tested. People who aren't so sick that they need treatment are urged to stay home for self treatment. And people follow that advice.

And the death number can not be used to see how well the healthcare system is treating people, because not all people end up at ICU or the hospital before dying.

And there is still an overcapacity of ICU so the healthcare system has not been overrun but we will see in 2-3 weeks for Stockholm and then 5-6 weeks for the rest of the country.

About social distancing. People stay at home for the most part voluntarily. The ones that keep insisting of going out for no reason, yeah, that seems to be the old people. The one that really should stay home. Makes me a little mad.

I took the train two days last week because of work. About 5 people on the train. Normally we are talking about 100-200 people. This morning my twin traveled on the train, normally there is 450 people on that train, barely anyone. He sat alone in one of the six carts.

I think our unemployment numbers are reaching 9-10%. And they predict that our GDP could take a big hit of maybe minus 4%. But some say it could be as bad as 8%.

The data was pulled via simple OSINT. Percentage of the population infected is the total amount of cases for the country divided by the population. The death rate was calculated by dividing the amount of deaths by the amount of cases.

What exactly is wrong with the math and the method there?

New Zealand offers very little value to most other countries.  It's too unique of a situation.

Australia has achieved similar percentages with a larger population.

Did you bother looking at how they did it before attacking and dismissing them?

I don't deny that he hasn't helped the situation. But, again, "this wouldn't have happened".

    • Any QB worth his weight in gold is going to get his guys the ball. Of course he has to have the protection, coaching and experience to do that. Moreover, it has yet to be determined what type of situation this is for a rookie wideout. The most important thing that will determine that is coaching.
