LOl, she has undercover video with audio and he posted a quick dismissive opinion, so yeah...they are completely on par with one another.

No. She has video with blurred out faces, while accusing multiple doctors of flat out murder while not naming names even though whistleblower laws would protect her if she had any solid evidence.

Minorities here have suffered horribly. His wife is black. They have two kids together. His daughter got arrested protesting. He strikes the GOP with every chance he gets. He and Cuomo hate one another. Bill would be last on the list of trying to scam the system.

That said, he's also a huge schmuck and I hope his reign as mayor ends soon. He's not objective at all.

I was watching "the media" this morning and they are trying to double down on the notion that we can't start opening back up until we are doing 20M tests per day.  The idea didn't stick when they threw it out there a month ago, so they are throwing it back out there and see if the sheeple will run with it this time.  As things keep progressing I expect to see that talking point to start popping up in conversations with people.

Yep all I'm saying is that I want more evidence than that.  Is that allowed?  I suppose not.

You know it's endlessly amusing to me that people in my age group were ranted at non-stop growing up about how trash TV and the internet were destroying our brains and ruining our ability to think critically.  In an amazing twist ending it turns out those most susceptible to it were actually the people who were saying that in the first place!  Directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

a) That's all you got?  She wants to be famous. Alright then.

b) Investigative journalism is dead?  Depends if a score needs to be settled...we all know this.  OBJECTIVE investigative journalism is dead, that much I will agree with.

c) So then, when there is investigative journalism done and it doesn't jive with your "view" it's automatically discredited.  Got it.

a) We already talked about that a few pages ago starting here:

Includes a link to her anti-vaxx non-profit registrations.  I think she's a grifter and that's why I don't trust her.

b) I think there is good investigative journalism being done actually.  This isn't it though.

c) I'm talking about James O'Keefe who keeps losing slander lawsuits for his edited videos.  He also dressed up like a pimp and tried to "seduce" a CNN anchor onto some boat with a bunch of sex toys and porn everywhere.  Obviously it didn't work.  I mean if you think he's a great guy who tells the truth and is worth defending then that's your take on it.

Also if you're anti-vaccine yourself then that's fine, that's your opinion.

45catfan is an old man trying to make sense of a world and information that he just can't.   lots of lost neuroplasticity happens as we age and we aren't able to process information as well as we once were.  its also the reason time appears to go by faster as you age - because you're taking in less information.     i don't think arguing with him will help

Is this a new study being reported on or is it just somebody on a morning show giving their opinion.

I Googled "20 million tests per day" and found references to a Harvard report from mid-late April suggesting that number needs to be reached by midsummer but that's all I could find from a cursory look

Some good news regarding treatment of the most severe cases.

Quote

A low-cost anti-inflammatory drug appears to reduce the risk of death in patients with COVID-19.

The drug is called dexamethasone. It's been used for decades to treat conditions such as arthritis and asthma. Because patients with advanced COVID-19 disease can have severe lung inflammation, scientists wanted to see if dexamethasone could treat that condition.

Legitimate study that shows some promise.  It won't prevent the disease, but does show that it can help those that already have the disease to survive and recover.

The 20 mill a day comes from the idea that everyone needs to be tested once per month. 20 mill tests every week-day equals 400 mil tests a month. If you take out kids and young adults, then we could test everyone around twice a month (14 day incubation period).

Its an impossible number. Even if we had the supplies, the man power to administer that many tests just isn’t there.

Nah, just not a millennial whose parents told them everything they spout is the truth and have a hard time processing anything that runs contrary to their thoughts.
