Facing the Bucs with a similar attack

Mr. Scot

The Saints beat the Bucs because of their defense yesterday. Their offense looked pretty meh for the most part. Payton called his fair share of head scratchers yesterday for what it’s worth.

We’re exactly what the Bucs needs to get their season off and running. Brady and the offense can find their groove against our defense

the bucs definitely have potential to be a get-right game for the defense. Brady is just not good anymore, full stop.

Evans and Godwin alone are huge problems for any DB on our team.  Throw in Miller, Gronk, Howard, and Brate too?  I don't see how anyone can see this as a get-right game for the defense unless Brady is that bad

Agreed on all but Gronk. He wasn't anything special yesterday.

True, but we sucked defending tight ends last year and based off Week 1, will suck again at defending them.

I don't doubt that Gronk is washed, but you know how washed, veteran players always have that one game a year that makes you think, "maybe they aren't really washed?"  Yea, I could see this being Gronk's game.  It isn't even like the Raiders needed to do anything special to get Waller open.  Nobody that plays LB on this team could cover him.  I guess they could put Shaq on him, but that would leave Howard on Whitehead or Carter or one of the safeties and that's a LOL for me.

Whitehead covering anybody half decent makes me cringe right now.
