Not surprised at all that LSU is chasing some of the guys they lost last year because damn if they didn't look straight up dreadful this year. I'm also hoping that these openings might open the door for some folks with more NFL experience. I think the overall staff would benefit from it.

I wasn’t as impressed with Joe Brady’s offense as I thought I would be. If he and his assistant get new jobs I think that’s fine. Start fresh with a rookie QB and a more experienced offensive coordinator and position coach with a proven track record of developing QBs.

I was impressed early, then teams adjusted to Teddy's obvious weaknesses. It's tough to counter when you have such a limited talent at QB and you're also missing your most dynamic offensive weapon.

Basically I think Brady still has to prove it at the NFL level, but I'm still hopeful that he can.

I like the overall aggressiveness, but many of the 3rd down calls made me scratch my head.  Running Samuel up the middle yesterday on 3rd down is just one example off the top of my head.  I think Brady outsmarts himself sometimes trying to guess what the defense is expecting instead what OUR offense may execute the best.  It seems he's free to call his game on the early downs and gets caught up trying to play 4-D chess on the money down.

I’ll say scheming 4 different players to 1,000+ scrimmage yards is pretty impressive, especially with CMC out and with SEVERE limitations at QB.

I think you are right here.
He is young and hopefully can learn from his mistakes. Maybe some mentoring from Rhule and the older coaches can help develop Brady. After all, I think this was his first OC job.

I agree. If he's the OC next year, I'm not going to be calling for his head or anything. He has a ton of potential and still learning the ropes at the NFL level. But, I also wouldn't be upset if he moved on to greener pastures. Could work out to be a good move for both sides. 

I'm more concerned with Phil Snow at DC. Dude made some horrific playcalls this season and I was critical of his hiring from the get go. Panthers defense allowed the most first downs in franchise history and tons of 3rd and longs. Some of that can be chalked up to lack of talent but at some point you have to point the finger at the man in charge.

      The issue is there's 16 games worth of tape on Bryce Young. His bad habits are going to be immediately amplified if he reverts to them. Defenses are waiting for it. Also as another poster above rightly pointed out. He's got to start putting some oomph on these passes. That's also on tape. That's why us fans and his first GM who was fired wanted him to get into the weight room at any capacity but he took time off to do nothing. Whatever happens it won't be for a lack of trying. I think Dave Canales is the right hire to work with a QB like Bryce. The issue is we have no idea if he is the right hire to fix the overall offense and team or how he will handle that level of responsibility on gamedays with only one year of coordinating. I think think this is either going to go really well or it's going to spiral. For all the talk of how bad Reich was and yes he was we really got much worse after he was fired and that's what Canales is inheriting. All of this is why I say it is important we have another young QB around just in case. Even a UFA. Also drafting a center for Bryce or whomever. We just need something anything to build on. Sustaining drives and getting into the end zone more often should be goals 1-3. We were h-o-r-r-e-n-d-o-u-s.

      What Morgan should be focusing on it getting the best players from the draft group that is available to him this year. If that happens to be a defensive player he shouldn't pass on the guy just because he needs offensive talent. Especially if what's available for offensive help is not on the same level of said defensive player. It just comes down to who's still on the board when he picks. Not every position need can or will be addressed in this draft. It simply will not happen because no team is that lucky for one thing and this team is in bad, really bad shape. Secondly, no draft is filled with enough talent to allow for any team to walk away with more than one possible starter and one or two contributors in any one draft. I think everyone needs to curb their expectations about this year's draft.
