What's more troubling is they legit thought TB was more than what he was when they signed him. Doesn't give me high hopes they will be able to find a competent/franchise worthy QB during the Rhule era, but we'll see what happens!

I would surmise that given how wrong that assessment turn out to be may have had something to do with the choice to hire Fitterer.

Listen to what Tepper says in that interview - the dude cant hide anything.

He said (paraphrasing) that he wasn't as close to some of the decisions early on as he was learning to be an owner and that's on him and now he's more vested in those decisions.

Translation: he let Marty fool him with TB but fug that poo from now on

Rich Gannon got better at a late stage, Kurt Warner did too. Odds are not in Teddys favor, AT ALL. Mainly Im hoping he gets better, cause Id dont see a smart move to move on this year. The team needed TDs, CMC had 6 TDs in three games. I feel lots of the teddy hate, needs to be on CMC. It was a short weird convid offseason and Joe Brady never install a offense before. Teddy was new to carolina too, many reasons for his lack of play.

Rich Gannon had Tim Brown and Jerry Rice to throw to. Kurt Warner had Marshall Faulk, Torrey Holt and Issac Bruce.

Teddy has never been "the guy" here, even if some of us hoped he could be. The writing on the wall has always been that he was odds on a bridge to the next Franchise QB, likely from the draft. Even Louisville fans will say this, even if most of us really thought he had a chance to do well here. It was fairly obvious he was brought into mentor the next guy, and be a leader on the team in the meantime while taking the hits behind the LOS.

I was on the teddy bandwagon early, but the day he threw joe brady under the bus, I knew he was done here.  As an average qb, you cant do that and think you'll be fine even if you are right.

And someone needs to explain to me what he was supposed to say. The play call came in late, was he supposed to cover for Joe Brady? Is being honest, without malice, really "throwing him under the bus?"

Look I love Joe Brady, I was very excited for him to be here, and still am, but the guy isn't a messiah. It was his first year as a play caller at the NFL level, and he wasn't even the full OC at LSU. The NFL is a faster pace, and Brady struggled at times with play calling and pace. Teddy didn't have a problem with pacing under New Orleans or Minnesota, but he seemed to have a problem with it in Carolina. Some of that is on Brady, but man it's not exactly all on him either. Covid and everything else was horrible for new coaching staffs and players.

Teddy wasn't tossing Brady under the bus. He didn't toss coaches under the bus for his first 27 years on planet Earth, and he was always a good team mate. That didn't suddenly change when he put on Carolina blue.

If we're going to be mad at Teddy, or anyone, let's make sure we're mad at them for the right reasons, instead of inventing reasons because we're upset with them. This is Cam with the towel on his head all over again.

I'm not saying Brady wasn't at fault and I don't think that he's some sort of messiah, he screwed up a ton this year, but the players and coaches giving interviews use "coachspeak" for a reason.  Easy answer was "there were some issues towards the end of the game, but we all gotta be better in those situations so in the future we walk away with a win".  Simple, that's the coach speak answer, saying your coach wasn't getting the calls in on time is going out of your way to make that publicly known where as usually that is an internal matter.  just to reiterate, Its not that he's not right, he most likely is, but answers like that rub coaches the wrong way.

Plus, like... DJ was wide open in the end zone not even 10 yards away and he missed him completely.  I understand that since the call was late he might not have been sure of the route DJ was running without hesitating, but he was WIDE open.  A starting QB would’ve taken accountability for that and admitted that he fuged up.  “I have to make a better throw in that situation”

    • I've listened to it like 3-4 years now. The last year or two though it seems these guys (mostly John) put some players on a pedestal (Like Burns) when they are really overrated. The last year or two it just feels like they are talking in an attempt not to hurt anyone's feelings or piss anyone off. The first year or two I feel like they told it like it was.
    • Ok, time will tell. I believe he will be worse than Howell turned out. All you Heel fan boys were convinced Howell was the next superstar QB in the league.
    • Your weight, like you and your family, is an important part of your life. Just like you, it needs to be maintained properly. You need to research what you can do to lose weight and then, find the best plan that you and your doctor can decide is right for you. These tips below can help you with that. An important part of weight loss is eating in moderation. This doesn't just mean cutting down on the food you eat. It also means reminding yourself that even treats are acceptable in moderation. A single calorie splurge, such as some French fries or a bowl of ice cream, doesn't mean you've failed. Chew your meals slowly to ensure you don't overeat at mealtimes. This promotes weight loss by taking advantage of the natural timing of the digestive process. It takes several minutes for your brain to catch up to your stomach, making it easy to unintentionally eat past the point of fullness.
