What lessons can the Panthers learn from Super Bowl formula?

Recommended Posts

This Super Bowl has me furious on how much we really suck and how bad the Bucs were for over a damn decade and they beat us out . It shows you need to suck to get better can’t just suck and win meaningless games . If we would have lost to the football team we could have traded up for Lawrence

Nothing to learn, it took the perfect storm for the Bucs to win a super bowl.

years of being at the bottom allowed them to get premiere players the last 5 years, they just happened to be moving on from there supposed franchise qb the same time the greatest qb of all time was available.

Learned more from the chiefs super bowl appearance than the Bucs

The Bucs signed Brady and new they had a small window to win now. We are trying to build a consistent contender. We need to build in the trenches through the draft and be smart with our salary cap. The Bucs were able to get Gronk, Brown, and Fournette because they wanted to play for Brady. It’s not really a plan you can mimic easily. The Chiefs look like they are going to be around for a while. When their line is healthy it is solid, Mahomes and Chris Jones are locked up, they make a couple splashes with Honey Badger, and a few other vets, but they primarily build through the draft. Mahomes, Kelce, Hill, and Jones were all drafted by them.

Tom Brady is just that good. Not the best passer at this point but no question he is the CEO of the team and knows how to bring out the best in every single player

Invest in the secondary on defense

Suh, Vea, Devin White, JPP, and Lavonte David are all high round picks too.  The oline has been retooled too.  Wirfs was a piece of puzzle too.

Didn't deny any of that. But in recent years they've sunk a ton of draft capital in the secondary

Also, they didn't draft Suh or JPP. Point remains.
