only plummets after the draft.   Stock probably can inch higher until then.

And if he's committed to not playing for them (which it certainly seems like is the case), all they'd be doing is shooting themselves in the foot. There will never be a shortage of interested teams. The price will just go down. Texans just hurt themselves by playing hardball, considerably more than Watson would hurt himself by sitting out for an extended period of time if he truly won't ever play for Houston again.

There will always be a market for Watson, even after the draft.  But the market will be hottest before it... barring something exceptional (like a team going all in this year having a catastrophic QB injury in training camp)

I don't think his stock can get higher than now but I agree it doesn't go down until after the draft.
