I like it. We aren't shopping at Tiffany's as Gettleman would say, but were clearly targeting the mid-level guys we want and going and getting them.

The NFL's legal tampering period has begun. Among the Panthers who now are free agents: WR Curtis Samuel, FB Alex Armah, CB Rasul Douglas, TE Chris Manhertz, RB Mike Davis, OG John MIller, LT Russell Okung. Wouldn't be surprised if Manhertz and Miller returned if the price is right. Still feels like a long-shot for Samuel, who should draw a big pay increase.

Agreed! These deals are not going to hold up a deal for Watson

Watson only has a cap hit in the $10M range this season for the team that trades for him.

That's not always the best measuring stick though.
