Another one off the board. Don't know if they where considering him or not. Gettimg down to the nitty gritty now....either a rookie, a total flunkie FA, or Teddy. I think Watsons legal troubles may be a problem with the NFL and front office....we shall see.

Really surprised he signed a pure backup deal this early in the process. I would've waited to see if someone's draft plans didn't workout or even for an injury in camp or preseason to open up an opportunity to compete for a starting role. In Buffalo, he's obviously purely a backup.

Mentioned in another thread that the 49ers were interested in him as a backup. This means they're still in the market for one.

Also saw where prior Bills backup Matt Barkley has indicated he's headed elsewhere, but doesn't say where.

Yeah pretty bad but let’s be honest if the Bears took either of those 2 while they’d probably still be quite a bit better than Mitch, they wouldn’t be anywhere near as good as they have been for their respective teams. BoB was a disaster of a team builder but he built a pretty damn good offense there and developed Watson well. Obviously Reid has played a big part in Mahomes’ development too.

Why? Then we'd have to pay him that $11M-ish. I don't think teams are going to be beating down his agent's door.
