It  most absolutely does mean something. Especially if he is convicted of any of the civil lawsuits. You don’t need choir boys in the NFL, but having the face of your franchise be convicted of sexual misconduct even if it’s just Civil is very weighty. Some of y’all need to stop acting like fanboys and come at this from a business standpoint.

Let me run this scenario by you.  Let's say you're the Texans.  You know Watson wants out.  You want him to stay.  What better way to keep him around than to make him appear to be completely toxic?  We've all been so focused on seeing it from our side, we've failed to see it from the other side.

My scenario protects our team if we trade.  We lose nothing if Watson is suspended.  The Texans gain nothing.  Bear that in mind.  My scenario was a hypothetical scenario where Watson is cleared.

Maybe he is guilty of . . . something?  I dunno.  The fact that no legal charges have been filed is a red flag.  I'm not even sure a REPORT has been filed.  Certainly no legal investigation.

A civil lawsuit is what happens when someone wants something but doesn't actually have a good legal case.  The burden of proof is SUBSTANTIALLY lower in a civil suit.  That's why those cases are typically settled quietly and out of court.

No team knows nothing other than the fact of 16 law suits. I don't care whether you believe him innocent or not. It doesn't matter. 

No franchise with good decision makers at it's lead is going to bring him in until things are settled. Period. 

You're the one that just doesn't get it.

There is no such thing as convictions from civil suits. Either you win a civil suit, or you lose a civil suit, or you settle it without it going to the judge/jury etc. 

I am precisely coming at this from a business standpoint. No one cares about civil cases. If it had any real legs it would be criminal. Civil cases are just people trying to make some money off of rich people. Nothing more, nothing less.

Aaron Rodgers is a douche. So is Brees. Hell, some would argue Cam. There's a HUGE gap between a run of the mill douche and a serial sexual predator. Watson has to clear these allegations up before I'd consider him.

      It’s possible to have a passable offense with Young at QB, but it will be all about that point guard stuff. Which, when a guy makes a play that is exciting. Mainly I am curious to find out the method of exchange from C to QB. What Young’s drops look like. If they are doing anything about under center - becoming able to snap it gun or hand to hand fluidly switching, and integrate that with play action That sauntering slowly away from the LOS ’technique’?       I really think this is where the crux of everything lies. Frank and co had no clue what to draw up once Young was the pick. He’s been around long enough to know a coach killer when he sees one. He knew it was a ship destined to sink. He saw how the skill set of the line players didn’t match the scheme. Same thing with receivers. He saw how 0.0% of the Bryce hype was actually true. He couldn’t wait to get fired, and used the weekly decapitation attempts on Bryce as leverage for Tepper to finally do so. Hell, he probably bought Ickey a G wagon as a show of appreciation.
