From the statement:

I am saying that me and my clients will go elsewhere to provide our evidence to investigative authorities.

So the statement isn't "we're not going to the police". It's "we're not going to the Houston Police Department".

What's the alternative? State police, I suppose.

The SI accuser does have a different lawyer, but hasn't decided whether she's going to file a lawsuit yet. I suppose it's possible others may choose to change lawyers at some point (don't know enough about the legal process to know what that entails).

As to why they chose a guy who's making a circus of it? The only thought I had on that is that a more sober, reserved lawyer might not have wanted to take a case so high profile and complicated whereas a lawyer that's full of sh-t will charge the gates of Hell with a water pistol.

He probably did some dumb poo but that's still not for me to say. I'm speaking strictly on them choosing this clown to represent them. He makes it so much harder to believe any of it cuz he's such an asshole

So then what do you say to the accuser that chose a different lawyer?

So you mean DW has supposedly sexually assaulted 25+ women and not ONE went to the police right after the incident?

Sounds legit lol

I hope you're young, because an adult really shouldn't be this ignorant about women when it comes to cases of sexual assault.

I would bet everything I own and would make in my lifetime that if you sexually assaulted 5 women, one of them would report your ass to police.

I hope you are young because an adult should realize that there are many money hungry vile women who are more than eager to throw their name in the hat hoping for a nice pay day from rich celebrity men/athletes.

These woman have nothing to lose. It the court rules against them they face no consequences. If the court rules for them, they get a significant pay out.

It's he said vs she said.

Nothing to lose and a lot to gain for the people making the allegations.

That depends. Am I rich? Famous? Popular? Powerful? Does she have something to lose by taking me on?

Even women who are assaulted by men with none of these characteristics frequently have a tough time getting justice, and they suffer in the process. It's one of the reasons why so many women are reluctant to come forward.

People like you make it even tougher.

Like I said before, if this ever happens to somebody you know, do her a favor and tell her to ask anybody other than you for advice.

Actually, average Joe blows have nothing to give the victims.

I'd be more motivated to go public vs a rich famous person vs some nobody.

Yea OK.

I am going to advise ANYONE who is sexually assaulted to go to the police right away to try to bring justice and stop the criminal so they can't hurt others.

And only those who follow your advice are believable, right?

Anybody here who knows someone that's actually been assaulted will tell you you that you absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Again, this is why I'm hoping you're young and just lacking in life experience, because a more mature person thinking like this would be pretty sad.

Doubting women that come forward while also questioning why they didn’t come forward earlier...

Can you imagine the public outcry if any of these women came forward and got the team’s star QB suspended when it happened? Aside from having expensive lawyers that could make their lives hell, the city could have quickly turned on them as sad as that sounds.

You seem to be confused. I am hoping you are young. This isn't rocket science.

No one should claim someone is believable or not before seeing/hearing all the evidence.

Then after hearing all the available evidence, can you form your own personal opinion on what happen.

Which doesn't mean you are right or know what actually happen.

However, that doesn't change the fact when and how you report it will affect people's perceptions.

I, like most, would be more predisposition, to believe someone who immediately goes to police with bruising and signs of sexual trauma vs someone who comes forward years later with a civil suit.

We are deep into cancel culture / metoo. These women would have been A OK had they came forward earlier to police. As that looks better than waiting and going civil.
