Joe Person: Panthers don't love other QB's besides Lawrence and Wilson

if this turns out to be true I would worry that ownership or the Deep Scouting side has the same awful ethos that you'll find on this forum, where the same 10 posters are always suggesting we wait until the next class when the perfect prospect may fall to us whereever were drafting

unless you're picking at #1, the guy you're taking has question marks, and those question marks will look a certain way relative to each position

you don't pass on talented players just because you're waiting for the perfect prospect perfect scenario unicorn that never comes

Likewise, you don't pass on talented players if the QB that everyone thinks you desperately need to draft has too many question marks raised by your scouts for you to be comfortable with him.

I'm all for taking late round fliers on Lance, Newman, Mond, Mills etc - all guys with technical flaws that you MAY be able to coach out of them if your QB Coach is good enough (and has the time).

I'm not ok with taking guys at #8 (or hell, trading UP for guys) that aren't bonafide generational QB prospects.

Interesting? I guess if all clear we are not giving up on Watson?

Former Panther and retired player hopes for the best for a current young buck. Where exactly are you seeing ANY indication "if all clear" ( which wont even be the case, but lets play) we are not giving up on Watson.

You reach too much respectfully.

The fact you even shared it shows your reach.

The further fact you had to defend yourself with a personal insult is even more telling.

I love the smoke screens that happen during the draft season!

If Lane is there at 8, I'm pretty sure we're sprinting up there to take him.

If we don't, there are some other incredible talents at OT and CB which would greatly improve our franchise.

I'm good either way.  Unless they draft a RB or something...
