Mac Jones has been off on his deep ball throws today outside of one really beautiful throw.

If he could stop running his mouth and focus he might have been better

he looked better last week then today

if the 49ers really want Jones over this kid, beyond stupid

Not sure why Jones was talking as much as he was.

It really sucks that we couldn’t lose one more game. Pick 3 would have been awesome. Knowing you had Lawrence, Wilson or Fields and were close enough to maybe trade up to 2 or 1 if you had to have a guy and Jets and Jags weren’t set in stone, would have been real nice.

Odd question - Would there be a scenario where Lynch would move up to 3, just to trade back and accumulate more assets?

If they wanted Mac Jones, they could've come up to 8 to get him if they thought we were interested. However, no SF holds the cards at 3 and could trade back with us, perhaps gain an extra asset vs. what they gave up to MIA and still take Jones at 8.

The SF front office is not a room full of folks that untrained GMs need to enter. Pace got worked in that Trubisky deal and I feel like they have something up their sleeve here.

Hmmmm

Yes, teams and scouts are INTENTIONALLY hamstringing themselves. 🙄

They've watched the tape - there aren't any questions about his arm strength or mobility (albeit there's questions about his mechanics).

We’re getting Fields or Lance. Trust Rhule. Those are the two pro days he went to.

Yeah but Joe brady went to Mac Jones pro day so We have to wait and see what their results on these guys I hope we can get Lance or Field on 8th pick.

    • I loved Meyer at OSU but I think he is way over his head in the NFL and Jacksonville is the NYJ south. They could destroy him before they ever dump Meyer.
    • It seemed on par with the Joe Burrow talk in 2020.
    • Teddy's in a great place for him - somewhere with a high-quality defense, some other offensive talent to do the heavy lifting, and that has been starved of even reasonable QB play for so long that his low-risk, high-percentage style looks amazing. It helps a lot that they've played the Division 2 of the NFL so far but with that defense Denver might sneak into the playoffs as a Wild Card (assuming the Chiefs wake the hell up) and bow out in the first or second round a la Alex Smith as the peak. For Denver fans, that will be amazing this year. No question though that Carolina is better off and I still speculate that Teddy drank his own Kool Aid and needed a dose of humility that he likely got after last season. He never should have been brought to Carolina in the first place but what's done is done and everyone is better off with him elsewhere. Sam is looking cautiously promising with plenty still to prove. it's encouraging that he seems to have already made some strides vs last year in NY.
