If Teddy ends up going back to the Saints, starting and playing winning football for them, then it's going to tell us a lot more about our coaching than it will about Teddy.

It will say more about the quality of their roster, and if that happened they will inevitably lose in the wild card or divisional yet again. They couldn't get over the hump with Brees, so what is Teddy gonna do?

New England would be his best bet to succeed.  He could backup Cam and if Cam struggles, he could jump into the starting role.

Denver could be an option. If Lock doesn't step up then they'd have a security plan. That way they don't have to draft one and create controversy. Then they could grab a great player at 9.

Teddy Bridgewater will be allowed to seek a trade following the Panthers’ deal to bring in Jets quarterback Sam Darnold, according to a report by Ian Rapoport at NFL Network.

Finding a willing trade partner won’t be easy. Bridgewater is coming off a disappointing 2020 season that saw him post more turnovers than touchdown passes. He also has a cap hit this year of around $23 million, the highest on the team.

The trouble is there may only be a handful of teams who think Bridgewater would be an upgrade over their current starters. The Broncos, Bears and Giants come to mind, to name a few.

Hopefully Bridgewater lands on his feet and gets another opportunity to start, but it seems like a long shot at this point.

Come on Houston. Show us you still have it and want to fight us for that first pick in 2022 (if they haven't already traded it away).

We will cut him and he will sign a contract as a backup and do well in that roll. What he always was and should have been.

Why would another team give Teddy a chance to start when the Panthers, who were a bad team last season, are saying he wasn't good enough for them?

Why would we give Darnold a chance to start when the Jets, who were a worse team last season, are saying he wasn't good enough for them? poo happens, coaches see players differently.

I don’t think the Panthers could have made a bigger mess of the QB situation. They cut Cam with one year left on his contract and sign/overpay Teddy for 3-years. During the off-season make it known to everyone that they are done with Teddy (terrible negotiation tactics) after only one year But still own his big contract. And now have the young/unproven with hopefully hidden potential Sam Darnold as the QB.

To me, it looks like a bunch of rookie decisions/mistakes have been made at the most valuable position. It also seems like Tepper is meddling and I wonder if that is why the Panthers are where they are.

So, if I'm reading OTC correctly, cutting Teddy post June 1 still saves us $8M towards the cap, which pays Darnold's salary with a couple of million to spare. Teddy gets $15 M from us (plus $5M next year) plus whatever the other team pays him to be a backup.

That's what I understood. If we trade him, chuckle, we pay 10 million of his salary this year. Looking like a cut incoming but who knows at this point. Pressure and desperation makes for odd decisions in the NFL.

    • Second round — 33rd overall pick: Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas   Mock trade with Green Bay Packers Panthers acquire: 41th (second round via the New York Jets) and 126th (fourth round) overall picks. Packers acquire: 39th (second round) overall pick. Second round — 41st overall pick (from GB via NYJ): Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M The Panthers probably need to start planning for life after Shaq Thompson. The longtime captain is coming off a serious leg injury and is in the final year of his reworked contract. While there is a lot of optimism hovering around Thompson’s return, the Panthers should hedge their bets at inside linebacker. A succession plan at inside linebacker would be forward-thinking and wise from a long-term roster-building standpoint. Third round — 65th overall pick: Ben Sinnott, TE, Kansas State Fourth round — 101st overall pick: Kris Abrams-Draine, CB, Missouri   Fourth round — 126th overall pick (via GB): Braelon Allen, RB, Wisconsin   Fifth round — 141st overall pick (via NYG): Brenden Rice, WR, Southern California   Fifth round — 142nd overall pick (via TEN): Beaux Limmer, C, Arkansas   Seventh round — 240th overall pick (via PIT): Evan Anderson, NT, Florida Atlantic
    • Now, Now, Now....you know you are asking for too much from a number 1 overall pick who hasnt lived up to his status. Figure i would let you know that before the usual suspects did.
    • Stress is one of the worst things for your body, hair and scalp as you should try to reduce this at all costs. Stress can cause dandruff and facilitate the graying process, which damages the way that you look. Eliminate stress and triggers of stress to feel and look great during the day. Whenever a blow dryer is being used, it is important to move your hair around so that the heat isn't focused on a single area. This will lessen the chance of your hair being damaged due to heat. Avoid overusing styling products. Using too many lotions, creams, conditioners and the like can be just as destructive to the hair as using none. Hair-care products can build up over time, smothering your hair in a coating of oil and chemicals and irritating your scalp. Stick to a few reliable products and rotate them occasionally to keep them from building up.
