Teams are going to have to deal with the fact we are not releasing him. Allowing him to seek a trade is just beneficial to both parties. If he's not traded he will compete with Darnold.

Well they might see how the draft pans out then make the call. Trading away a 3rd this year for teddy and his contract would be about right or a second and 6th next year.

next year 2nd and 4th gives us Darnold for a 6th this year .

Makes no sense to give up Teddy and make concessions to pay his salary. Will need him to take over anyway once Darnold produces more of the same of what he did with the Jets.

From what I was reading Denver is wanting us to eat a chunk of his salary for a trade to happen. As long as it’s less than his dead cap space and we get something in return it’s totally worth it.
