I am with you.  Most scouting reports see him more as a guard as they see him as a LT.  Do you want a good LT or a Great Guard or Center.

Neither at 8. Trade back then sure. I want an potentially elite high valued position at 8.  Especially if 5 QBs go ahead of us.

Apologies to those who don’t like to click links...too much to  copy and paste

both from Riot Report

1  Slater

2. all tackles, as panthers may be trading back

Valid criticisms; thankfully most of his issues are coachable. His biggest weakness seems to be dealing with speed rushers, and I have to believe that going against our speed rushers during practice every day will give him better opportunities to improve that aspect than he would have on other teams.

Those are some good reads from the Riot. While I still prefer Slater, he's also among the smallest tackles in the bunch. That gives me a bit of pause when I think there are some 6'6" or 6'7" maulers in that list.

Still a smaller (it's all relative) guy who has the skills and strength is better than a bigger guy that's just a goon.

I think it’s pretty likely, I feel like the senior bowl standouts are almost like the “2nd visit” category from the Gettleman years.

i think the best part is after they fell in love with chinn i completely have faith in them if he's just their guy.

chinn is already one of my favorite panthers ever.

When did 6'4" 303 stop being a good size for LT? And how the hell does that translate into being better off at guard? This offseason is just insane. Dude put up 33 reps? With excellent speed? If he isn't an idiot then he looks like a better LT then we have sniffed in the last 5 years.

Still playing around with what a major trade down would look like. Used PFN sim, traded for the Ravens 1st rounders and a future, 2nd rounder used 2nd and future 2nd to trade with jags.

    • Deangelo where he should be. No Fasty. Obviously no pesce. Looks like we’re going back to Andersen.
    • This is a two-part quiz that takes 5 minutes to take--if you need modification, they are available. Once you submit the answers to the first 2 questions (3 total answers) you take the USA Today online NFL Draft Quiz.  Complete the template below in your response.  Later tonight (after 8 pm), I will share the answers to the first two questions--please do not share your results until after 8 PM.  Obviously, if you choose not to participate, just don't participate and leave the replies for those who want to do this. (Honor system--Googling is CHEATING) 1.  Franchises with the most #1 picks in NFL History (2 are correct), so this counts as 2 points, 1 for each correct answer:  a) Bucs b) Jets c) Colts d) Rams e) Oilers/Titans 2.  How many #1 overall picks for the teams above were the most in NFL history? a) 3 b) 5 c) 6 d) 7 e) 9 OK for the next 10 questions, go to the link and take the 10 question online quiz.  Report your answers for the 2 questions above and the number correct from your online quiz. https://draftwire.usatoday.com/2021/11/01/nfl-draft-history-trivia-quiz/ SCALE:  12-13 correct:   Draft Royalty - you probably cheated though. 10-11  correct:  Stud.  Your brain is full of useless information. 8-9  correct:  Mr. or Mrs. Mediocre, which has probably been your goal for some time. 6-7  correct:  Snorkeler:  You can't quite reach the surface of the NFL knowledge pool, but you are close. 4-5  correct:  Life Support Recipient.  The people around you are Huddlers voting when to pull the plug.  0-3 correct:  Blue Tent Dweller.  You scored below random chance, meaning a toddler or monkey could have done better.  Stay in the blue tent.  The team is doing well without your input.   There is a non-monetary reward and consequence for being the top and low score.  All in fun.
