Tebowing to TE....

Recommended Posts

The Golden Calf of Bristol retired from baseball in February.

With his former college coach, Urban Meyer, now in Jacksonville, the Heisman Trophy winner apparently is looking at unretiring from football.

The Jaguars recently worked out The Golden Calf of Bristol and have had discussions with him about signing, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports. The team plans to try him at tight end.

The Golden Calf of Bristol last played in a regular-season football game in 2012, only one season after Tebowmania took the NFL by storm. Following one season with the Jets, however, the 2010 first-round pick of the Broncos failed to make a 53-man roster despite opportunities with the Eagles and Patriots.

He turned to baseball in 2016, after opting not to pursue the CFL or any other non-NFL football league. Both the AAF and the XFL sought to sign him

I love that The Golden Calf of Bristol is automatically corrected to The Golden Calf of Bristol. His ego got in the way of him sticking in professional sports -- he could've easily done this nearly a decade ago and probably stuck around for a while as a role player. But that was beneath him so he went to baseball. Moron.

Can't really see him in a Taysom Hill type role.

Great athlete, but one of the worst passers I've ever seen.

(I know someone will say that's basically Taysom Hill, but no)

He lit up the Steelers for a playoff win.

I personally think if Skip Bayless never happened to The Golden Calf of Bristol.....it would have been better for Tim's career and he would have transitioned.

He will be a TE in name only.  No doubt, Urban will find ways to use him in various roles.

because we all know Urban is going to find a way screw Jacksonville.  Then have to take a leave of absence.

You got Trevor.  You don't need to get college cutesy with The Golden Calf of Bristol.

But he will.  Jump pass incoming.

Get Fitts on the phone.  Sign The Golden Calf of Bristol.  Trade him to the Jags for their first rounder this year.

Yes, my proposal is just as silly as The Golden Calf of Bristol coming back at all.  If we're going to be ridiculous, we may as well go all out.
