Welp this is gonna be my last post of the night. Shut up. How long have we needed a goddamn corner? 9 years ago Chris Gamble retired. Since fugging THEN. Yeah I woulda liked slater here too. But there are other tackles with traits. This was BPA Defensively

Have you not watched the Panthers this past decade? We picked two elite corners, one in the fifth round, Josh Norman, one in the second round, James Bradberry.

He's definitely helped them but I'd argue that 2 other picks in that draft were significantly more important for their recent success than Lattimore -- Ramczyk and Kamara. Also, Williams and Hendrickson were great picks too. That entire draft class from them was just absurd. Honestly, value-wise Lattimore may have been one of their worse picks that draft...

I'm sure the saint's don't regret the Lattimore pick and they did have other impact players but it's not his fault they drafted him in top 10. A shutdown corner is worth a top 10 pick, we're just not sure if Horn can be that for us.

I agree. I think Lattimore was a much better prospect coming out than Horn though, he could've easily gone top 5.

What the hell are you on, They had Top 10 D for several years in early Newton years. Even were #1 for a while in 2015. How is that not Elite? lol wtf.

Yeah 2013 was a historic defense, that front 7 with prime Hardy and before the Pats ruined CJ's career with a dirty leg whip... Luke and TD at their absolute best. That was about as elite of a D as you can get, up there with the Seahawks that year, Broncos 2015, etc.

it just fascinates me that they can look at the history of the league and see all these embarrassing franchises that passed on hall of fame QBs because they had some huckster “that they really feel confident about”

history alone should’ve warned them off this kind of move

their draft strategy actually centers around a guy who has been the quite literal worst QB in the league for three seasons

it’s hard to envision the current staff being the answer
