That’s all? I mean plenty of out of shape fat people get drafted high. It’s not hard to make a player eat right. Just have to have a good staff that will work with the guy.

yeah mostly and that he tested extremely bad athletically. It's whether you attribute that to him just being fat and out of shape or that he's just that unathletic naturally. I think the production generally speaks for itself though in this case. I like the pick.

Edit: to your point though, sometimes it is pretty hard to get someone to eat right. There's been tons of examples of players falling out of the NFL because of conditioning and eating habits.

Yeah but I mean how many times have we seen a offensive linemen test bad athletically and kill it in the NFL? I believe Orlando brown was horrible athletically and we see how he turned out. Only problem I see is if he can’t control his weight and gets so out of shape he can’t play or hurts himself. I also wonder if he looses weight if it will effect his play negatively?

It's really only a concern with our zone blocking scheme. He's not really going to excel with that type of lateral movement if he doesn't get into better shape.

Man i love both of those clips. The clip on the bottom shows him manhandling Derrick Brown and playing with anger. He loves the challenge of good opponents. Love this pick.

I have to wonder if we liked this guy from watching tape last year against Brown? I mean Brown is a great nfl player and if he can hold his own then he should be able to make it in the NFL.

We got a big ole boy, this draft is going amazing. Honestly, this is what a great front office looks like. To anyone who is hating please look at other teams drafts so far you guys will find anything to complain about.

...lets see if Fit is as advertised... pretty pleased tho.

Many say that if he can trim down another 20 lbs, he would gain more quickness and be a force in a zone blocking scheme.

get that man a nutritionist and a personal chef.

This is what I was thinking. As he is he doesn't really seem like a fit for us but if they've spoken with him about slimming down and he's said he can do it then he could become a really nice piece for us. His pass protection skills are obviously top notch. If he can cut weight and improve his feet movement then sure why not. Great nickname too.

That bottom one is the first time I think I've ever seen anyone push Brown back like that. I'm sure it's happened other times too but I've never seen it.

Having a Seattle guy makes me happy to finally see us taking chances on guys that dropped because of concerns. Late rounds you rarely find gems unless you take a chance. Under Richardson no matter the GM or coach we would draft high character guys late with no athleticism that just worked hard. None are still in the league except AJ Klein. The only recent off field concern players we ever got only 2 showed up for us and Hardy was the reason why that regime never took a chance again. Thank god we have a new brain trust to say fug it make a man out of them again.

I'm reading a lot of very positive comments about our draft from everyone. I honestly think the only place I've read anything bad about our draft all over the internet has been in Huddleton. Although that too has died down a lot. Most of those guys aren't around today.
