Brad Hooooooooooover... nuff said. But his in your face, smash mouth football was fun to watch. Probably why Im so excited about Tremble

James Anderson (LB): I always appreciate his play. He was always over shadowed on the depth chart with Beason, TD and Conner but I thought he played very well.

Kris Magnum (TE): Never had a major roll but I always thought he played hard and contributed to the run game.

Loved when we had Will Witherspoon and I loved how when Norwell played for us.

Ed Dickson definitely played his part of backup TE to a great level.

Hoover of course. 
 

Another guy that I loved was Brenston Buckner back in that first SB D line. He was definitely the worst player out of our starters on the line, but I always really loved his play. Even next to Peppers, Jenkins and Rucker he never looked out of place. But he never took much credit.

IMO guys like Hoover and 'Spoon (and Rucker, Wharton, etc) were not JAGs - they were good, if not great, players in their own right. Not being a household name or having a bigger star around does not automatically relegate someone else to JAG status.

With that said, Nick Goings is my favorite all-time non-star. Dude did his job, whatever it may have been on any given day, and was even able to step up big in 2004. Ended up having a sneaky-long 8-year career here in Carolina, similar to a guy like Karl Hankton. Jordan Carstens the Iowa pig farmer is up there as well.
