One more season with Mick Mixon

Never got to go to a Panthers home game. Doesn't seem Mick was super loved, which is weird to me. We had Sean Moth call Louisville games for most of my adult life, and when he retired last year it was pretty gun wrenching.

I feel like you have to nail the announcer to give yourself a great game day experience. They can really add to the atmosphere.

By the way...here’s the whole episode.

Fun Panthers stories and some insight into Rosinski’s departure.

Just listened to the entire episode.  It seems like it would be a no-brainer to bring those three back together.

Sometimes it’s hard to regain that “spark” and go back to the way things were, but from a long time fans perspective I’d love to see it get the chance.....

Especially seeing/hearing the reason why Bill was let go.  I’d heard the story back when it happened, but never a full confirmation.

I have listened to a lot of those Carolina Panthers football games on radio over the years, and I still remember back to the days when the Panthers’ radio announcing team was Bill Rosinski, Roman Gabriel and Jim Szoke….

Then after Bill Rosinski wanted a ring when the Panthers went to Super Bowl XXXVIII, and the Panthers would not fess up for Rosinski, and when the Panthers heard Bill Rosinski was complaining, they let him go….

Mick Mixon was brought in as the lead Panthers play-by-play man, and he was teamed up with Eugene Robinson and Jim Szoke…..

That was a great video. I heard Mick speak at a local rotary meeting which I am told he does quite often. While the ample bosom descriptions are a little creepy, he is very well spoken and eloquent. He is a very good storyteller.
