I think you can only count the Vikes game as a choke, and the whole team choked on that one.  Coaches not running down the clock.  TB missing DJ. ... and it culminated with the missed kick.  Textbook clusterfk.

Everyone was so upset when we beat Washington....well I don't care I wanted to beat Ron and I cheered.  He was one big missed opportunity.  It would have been even better if we knocked them out of the playoffs.

If I had to choose between losing the Vikes or Washington games I'd choose Vikes everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

im a VaTech fan

hes a choke

He clearly is putting in the work to improve.

I love his range, but we can't settle for long and wrong.

Hopefully he'll be on the right side of game-deciding kicks this year.

I love BIG SWOLE...but I get nervous when he kicks...he could be on a roll and then miss an extra point...ugghh

Am I wrong in thinking Gano had one year were he only missed one or two FGs for the whole year and big brained huddlers STILL complain?.... EVEN when youd bring up he only missed one FG for the year?? He did miss a couple/few XP that year, but going like 35/36 in FGs and still get pissy, my god....why?!?!

He was pretty terrible in the Super Bowl, too. Gano, Tolbert, Remmers and Cotchery picked a bad day to have a bad day.

BTW Gano didn't miss any in the SB.  It was the rematch week 1 in Denver where they went crazy headhunting Cam and the refs stood there and watched it.

Gano made it, the broncs called timeout.  Gano missed the second time.

SB, he made both the PAT and the field goal.

He did miss one field goal in the super bowl. Beginning of second half

Hey thanks keep an eye on me...I forgot that.

I have never rewatched that game, and don't intend to.

In the end, we lost by more than 3.

On to other topics....

As I think about it, in terms of games where he appeared to be the deciding factor, he wasn't THAT bad.

He was  5 for 5 FGs in the Chargers game FTW.  We couldn't find the endzone with a map that game.

He missed the 65 yarder at the end of the NO game.

He just missed the 67 yarder against KC.

He missed the 54 yarder against the Vikes.

If he had made either of the 60+yarders we'd be celebrating him as hero, especially the KC one, which JUST missed.

If Teddy had gotten enough RZ/2 min/Endzone  practice and the play came early enough so he wasn't rushed 🙄 he would have hit wide open DJ in the back of the endzone.

The only one I can reasonably blame him for is the Vikes, but in my mind, that was more on Teddy.

You really can't blame a kicker for missing anything over 55yds much less anything over 60.

The offense needs to get closer at that point.

I don’t know if he can fix his issues or not, but I know I would put my money on our kicker to win an arm wrestling competition against all the other kickers in the league

Todd Sauerbrun would have ripped his arm right out of his socket in his prime.
