REPORT: No movement in Panthers’ talks w/ Taylor Moton

Recommended Posts

I know this isn't a popular opinion. But here goes. We have a new Sheriff in town. He hasn't been here a full year. Maybe we should hold off on projecting our fears of "He Who Shall Not Be Named" onto Fitt. Just yet anywho.

This is Fitts first big deal. Can we at least wait for it to be done? Maybe he is Hurndog 2.0, and that would suck, hard. But maybe he is just Fitt 1.0, and that may not be a bad thing.

tl;dr version: Let's give the Sheriff time. Then we can decide if he lives,or dies.

Yep, the only time we get deals done is when after a year they look like boat anchors.

It sure seems like after we sign players they get hurt or decline.

Saints can extend all of their young drafted stars with no issues. Why is it so hard for us?

The Saints do a better job at resigning good players than we do, for sure.  They are in a similar situation with Marcus Williams right now, so we'll see how each one plays out.

By all accounts Fitts is Deputy Fife and Rhule is Sheriff Taylor...

...it will be interesting to see how it works out (or doesn't).

If Marty didn’t suck he would have been working on extending Moton instead of wasting $26M on Okung and Short to play half a year combined.

And yet, even with the Hurndawg holding the reins of ruin for another organization, THIS organization is doing whatever it can to save present day nickels because they fear paying future $$$ to their young talent and anchors.

Except for a running back, of course.

Because as we all know, having the best and top paid running back in the league is the key to present-day NFL success.

But for sure, Carolina management, make sure you lock down your RUNNING BACKS to long-term, top dollar contracts and not your top young performers on OL!

It's genuinely starting to feel like a curse. Maybe it's that black cat outside the stadium? Or maybe it was Jeans Friday?

Its not a curse or bad luck.

Yeah, that easy answer might make you feel better, but it’s not that.

It’s ownership/management/coaching (in that order… though, to be fair, the first 2 years of the Rhule Regime he’s pretty much been the GM as well as HC).

If you were going for the joke, then...lol

If you were making a comment on our leadership, then...not lol

The leadership we have now is the best it's been in 15+ years.

God I missed your special brand of sarcasm. By the way. That was a Hurndog contract. He really doesn't have anything to do with the team anymore. You can't blame this regime for past mistakes.
