Word to the folks hoping to get him at a reduced price:

Good luck with that.

Albert Breer reports that Nick Caserio is "determined" not to offer any sort of discount for a Watson trade.

Also being reported that the Texans are not in any hurry. They're willing to be patient and wait for the offer they really want.

So they want the appearance of trying to shop him, but they want to keep him.  Maybe a smart PR move--

"We tried to trade him, ladies, but nobody would take him.  So, we had to keep him.  We are going to require some counseling, mind you."

Your imagination knows no bounds...

This would be an impossibility since NFL teams are contractually required to perform up to the terms they and the player agree to.  There is no "we're just not gonna live up to it" clause in any NFL contract.

Who is the "strong man" in the Whiny Aaron vs. Packers situation?

PS...radio is saying Whiny Aaron is set to report 😉

I really hate that guy.

Try to contain your excitement. It's really weird.

So who's the "strong man" there?

Who's the richest guy in the room "forcing his will" onto whom?

It’s more of a panic out of being wrong. The guy was convinced Julio wouldn’t be traded and Watson would be forced to play. Julio didn’t pan out as he wanted and now the Texans are willing to trade Watson. He is lucky Watson got into legal trouble or he would have already been traded by now. Oh yeah he also didn’t think we would unload Teddy…

Other predictions of his...

- Marty Hurney would not be fired because Tepper was the "real" GM

- The Panthers wouldn't hire a traditional GM because see above

- Monti Ossenfort would get the GM job because Tepper values intelligence

... and numerous others.

Basically, if he predicts something, it's pretty much guaranteed not to happen.

Now in response, he'll probably ask who Matt Rhule or Scott Fitterer reports to because he thinks that's an effective comeback 😏

Have you been able to confirm who reports to whom?

In the Appaloosa Model it looks like this:

         Tepper

Rhule < ^ >  Fitterer

If true, by definition the GM is not "traditional" because "tradition" dictates that GM's hire and manage the Coach.

What say ye?

It isn't going to happen until early 2022. That way an interested suitor can see if the legal issues are sorted and also the Texans are sure what the draft compensation they get (Draft board positions in the rounds).

The Dolphins needs to see if Tua is any good
The Eagles need to see if Hurts is any good
The Panthers need to see if Darnold is any good
The Broncos idk?

Broncos would probably be the only team that would trade now. They know who they have in Teddy.

The Appaloosa Model!! I was waiting for it. You’ve made it a few weeks without mentioning it and for that I’m proud of you…

Chuck has been yanking y’all around with this BS through multiple ALTs. The post below was one of the first and 4 months before Sizzle signed up. He was all over the Pats forum saying Cam needed to “subjugate” himself to Belichik. So that fits the pattern shown here. Plenty more proof if he wants to deny it.

And true.

It amazes me how many folks think Hurney is running the show -- couldn't be further from the truth.

Hurndog doesn't have the authority to pull the trigger on ANYTHING without the approval of Tepper and/or Rhule.

For those of you who may watch Billions...Tepper is Axe...Rhule is Dollar Bill (a portfolio manager with limited trading authority)...Hurndog is a supporting analyst with no trading authority (unless it is co-brokered with Rhule and doesn't exceed Rhule's size limits).
