Moton or Samuel.... would you change who got Tepper's bag?

Samuel is (dare I say it) overrated. He reminded me of Philly Brown, if Brown had put on muscles and was a tad quicker.

I would obviously choose a premier tackle over Samuel but he is no Philly Brown that is extreme. I watched Brown drop like 20 passes in a preseason game one time.

If we would have just sent Short out to pasture last season we could have had both...

Anyway, I'd rather have Moton. Glad the deal got done.

Just think how pretty we would be sitting if we mercy killed Short AND refrained from signing Teddy to his big contract, doing something like signing Winston for a year at 1M.

I am sure we would have lost the same 4th quarter way, but this time Winston being agressive and throwing INTs and losing instead of checking it down and losing. $30M difference or so I that one alone….

Plus the entertainment factor of him trying to eat Ws and off-season dedicated workout videos is the cost of admission alone

I like Robbie but he's 29 and in the last year of his 2yr / 20M deal and costs 12M versus the cap if memory serves this season.

I think we could've come out this situation a bit better, move Robbie for a pick, FT Moton, and extend Samuel. Knowing how the draft fell Marshall replaces Robbie on the perimeter, Curtis stays as a move guy that works out of the slot, and DJ is the primary.

Just my opinion, I don't agree with Curtis being over-rated, he was one of the best on 3rd down. Robbie is a Rhule guy though.

Our line has been ignored way too long. It’s still perhaps our biggest weakness and WR might actually be a strength pending Marshall and Shi Smith. Signing Moton was the right call every day of the week and twice on Tuesday (because Taco Tuesday).

In the end, we could have had both looking at how the CAP money worked out. We could have had a second round pick used elsewhere than at WR and the replacement for Robby Anderson on staff and experienced going into 2022.

They were just figuring out how to use Samuel in the last half of last season. Having him and CMC out there together this season would have been murder on opposing defenses if Darnold plays well. But, there's no use crying over spilt milk.

We paid CMC a ton and a lot of Samuel's usage in our offense is somewhat redundant with CMC. I get letting him walk. You can't pay a 4th option $10M+ per season.

We've already paid CMC. We're gonna pay Moore. We drafted Marshall to take over Anderson's role moving forward. We drafted Shi Smith to hopefully take over the slot role moving forward. Overall, I like the plan at WR both from a talent perspective and a cap management perspective.
