I dont lie, I wanted Josh McDaniels...i know his history and hes a douche etc etc. I just thought he was the best HC available. I was indifferent on Rhule. I did not agree with hiring coaches form powerhouses Baylor/Temple.... 7 teams replaced coaches and many had GREAT coaching staffs, hell dallas's whole staff was top self. Philly had a legit staff as well, I wanted duce staley BAD. Many NFL proven coaches that have been in wars. Rhule hired his bros along with adding all sort of new positions thanks to teppers billions. Luke retired, many FAs leftd, cuts, etc.

I have to admit.  I held my nose as I pied that.  McDaniels?   After Rhule, wasn't he the next interview.  I forget.  Whew.  I would not have been happy with McDaniels.  I get why you wanted him tho.

Rhule got this team fighting in the heavyweight class while at 165Lbs and most of the time it went to the judges score cards. HUGE PROPS.

Yeah me too.  I love the analogy.

Super glad Rhule is the current coach. I'm enjoying the new direction/energy/leadership and Rhule forced me to feel that. I do not believe a re-tread coach would get that same result. Come 2022 I feel the playoffs will played at the bank thanks to Rhule's hard-HARD work.

Yup.  The rest will come around when we start winning.

You're and my uninformed opinion doesn't matter.  All that matters is Teppers.  Tepper said: "So to not have a head coach with some input into that is stupid."    Sounds like Tepper thinks that Rhule didn't have some input into that, and fired Hurney.

The upside is if he goes "Tannehill" as you say and we start winning.

Are you saying that you wouldn't want Darnold if he went "Tannehill" because he's not at the beginning of a rookie contract?

Speak for yourself. I called it when they kept Hurney around to begin with? What moves did Marty make? Which ones were just a surprise to Rhule? Why wasn’t he mentioned in that article I posted?

It’s a financial decision. Would you risk 20M to win… nothing? Because that’s what’s happening. But now if he fails, it’s Teddy time again. Why risk it? Don’t worry. There is no logical answer.

lol That has nothing to do with your assertion that Rhule gets blame for last year. So surprise surprise, you're still a ...

If Rhule doesn't bear responsibility for the losing season, who does? The players? Tepper? Marty? The fans? Once again, fair or not, credit and blame ultimately fall on Rhule since he is the HC. And unless the team has a total jackass as an owner or they commit a crime, HCs are not fired for anything other than losing. Winning matters. A simple balance sheet shows that Rhule is in the negative so far.

Are you saying because ESPN didn't quote Marty Hurney for an artcile that the General Manager wasn't involved in the hiring of the team's QB?

Ok?  Huh?

Why is your profile pick a Steelers SB ring?

Second, Tepper felt Rhule didn't even have some input Hurney's financial and staff decisions.   When Tepper fired Hurney, the reason was because he didn't listen to Rhule

You still believe the 60 million dollar head coach had no power to override the former radio host turned general manager who had already been fired by the team once before?

Not because of. Like I said, it was obvious who had control. And at a time when TB was playing well, why not mention the GM who supposedly “was the main force behind signing Teddy”(according to a rumor no one will put in print). Just tell me all the moves that Rhule made? And Hurney? Should be easy.

Because I’ve watched my team, the Steelers, win 6 rings. It only becomes an issue for posters when I disagree with them. Which I can only assume is your next complaint. What’s sad is I know more about your favorite team than you.

I'll type slow so you can understand. Due to forces outside of his control, Rhule did not earn the blame for last year.

From here on out. Yes. For last year? No.

You are arguing with a steelers troll. He is one of those overbearing uncles you hear about. He's smarter than you, and he doesn't mind telling you so.

But if you are enjoying yourself. Disregard this post.

Why did Rhule say he wanted to win a SB with Cam. Why does Rhule talk up players them cut them? Why would Tepper lay blame at a guy who has 6 more years left of guaranteed money.  Why did the Panthers try to interview Andrew Berry but couldn’t because they couldn’t offer roster  control. Then,  no more interviews, because no legit candidate wanted to. He just said not a couple weeks ago that Rhule is in charge. Even now. Which means he sure was then.

So what’s it going to be. Rhule had total control, or Tepper hired a HC for 60-70M to listen to thee reason he had the job to begin with. Either path of incompetence is troubling. But hey, pick and choose whatever makes you feel better.

Rhule is still learning the job and he has said that before. He’s owned up to mistakes and taken blame at some points.

The players seem to be buying into a system which is the main thing because you could have hi Joe Judge situation and have players retire because They fuging hate your guts and your system…or want out because you don’t feel like dealing with urban Meyer BS.

From here on out. Yes. For last year? No.

Did not other first year coaches have the same outside forces to contend with? Did all of them have losing seasons too?

The answer to the first question is yes. The answer to the second question is no.

Rhule doesn't get a pass because of outside forces. It's ok to admit last season was bad and that Rhule had a hand in that. I've never said he gets all the blame. There was plenty to go around, but as coach, the responsibility falls to him. It's part of the job.

And stop with the personal attacks and name calling. You claim others are trolls and whatnot, yet you are one of the most immature and trollish posters on this board. Nobody else that I've seen have an opposing view to yours has resorted to the same tactics, but you do it all the time.

Have a good night. I'm going to try to enjoy the Hornets summer league game.
