Im sure in this defense Reddick will spend a lot of time near the LOS and Chinn will be lined up like a outside linebacker and it will look alot like a 4-3

I remember when Larry Fedora tried to bring the 3-3-5 stack from Southern Miss to UNC. It... uh... it did NOT go well. But I'm sure this is just a wrinkle look, not a base look. Big difference.

I think it'll be a blitz package. It's gonna be about confusing the QB as to where the pressure is coming from, but if you see us come out in a stack there's gonna be pressure coming.

Few of us called it back in March… Hybrid of 3-3-5 and 3-5-3.  Give Waldo his pie.

Panthers tried it last year near season end and were extremely successful.

Yeah they seemed aligned kind of narrow but hard to tell from the angle. Whatever that was looked like endless 5 yard flats/slants

People get too caught up in the so called alignment name.

Move Burns to the LOS and call it a 4-2-5 or big nickel and it seems a lot more normal to people.

Also “base” tends to be the exception rather than the rule, it has become a sub package league.
