The way in which they danced around the medical appointment and not being vaccinated tells me there are things Cam didn't want to talk about there that are reality (that not being vaccinated did fug him).

He was very complimentary of the Patriots for the most part.  Certainly seemed less bitter than Teddy was when we let him go, lol.

By all accounts Bill actually does like Cam and it clearly was the vaccine stuff...Even if by some nonsense Mac Jones beat him out Cam could be a backup just fine IMO. He says the "QB1" or "I'm a starter" b/c ofc he and everyone says that too. Who the hell says "na I'm a QB3" lol

So to me it was 100% the vax and I do believe Bill and the sources saying they really did get on well.

yeah, the vaccine part of the video may me sad/mad. tbh, the way the US health system has treated minorities, I don't blame skepticism, but it really bums me out to see Cam suffer for it.

I do believe at this point Cam could and would be a backup. I think he knows his career is moving to that point...

Even Darnold was able to see his faults, Cam, mention the 5 days in ATL...but if you look at him as he said it, it was I'm Cam I can do what I want...

Only difference is one Cam had something to prove to others this Cam has something to prove to himself.

Man if you didn’t watch the video just say so, I know it was 43 mins long but you are just putting misinformation out left and right.

he literally said he got the teams ok to get a 2nd opinion in atl with his dr, a precautionary checkup, he also stated that if the team didn’t ok it he would have never made the trip to atl.

If you don’t like cam just say it but this is a momental reach in your above statement

I mean Ryan Fitzpatrick is starting for like his 19th team...he may get the world record for starting for each team in the league lol. So yea he COULD...

Also re the minority...yea wherever would we get the idear of skepticism when you look at the STD experiments conducted on the black community for example. Tuskegee Syphilis "Study"(human experiment). I mean you have to be able to get through the muck and understand its not a conspiracy this time but yea I absolutely understand.

The team ok'd it buy that didn't excuse him from the NFL testing protocol. The assumption would be they ok'd him to go but assumed he would be back in time for tye next days on premise testing.  No bug deal other than they probably liked what they saw in Jones too much during the absense.

Yeah I did catch that too, couple subjects they moved quickly off of(rightfully so for cam’s nfl future).

I still think the vaccination played a bigger role than stated, what was very interesting was cam explain the snaps, playcalling, first team reps etc.

and he’s sounds conflicted whenever they mention the atl trip and missing 5 days of practice, I think both things are true, it played a bigger role than stated and made it easier to go forward with Mac

Greatest player to ever play for this sh*thole of an organization.  Why even post this? What's the point? The people here obviously don't care to talk about Cam so you get a thread full of meaningless posts like "hurr durr you sit on Cams laps! Haha!" from the morons that sit on this forum all day every day with nothing better to do with their life. Move on wait for Rhule to be fired and the Cam era will officially be over, at least for me anyways.

This is why this organization will never be considered great. From the front office to the fanbase, completely undeserving.

yup, he knows he basically lost the job over the vaccination status.

that's the thing, you want to show a team what a risk you are by not being vaccinated? get pulled off the team for five days... why even risk that?

When watching the video, you can take words and spin them how you want... But ask yourself why he posted this video? The purpose. Then think of the vibe, his mannerisms, and how he is speaking.

He posted because people will continue to judge from the outside looking in. He is giving you insight from the inside. His side of the story. He doesn't knock anyone down and realizes that it is a business.

I believe Cam being released was both a business and football move. More business than football as keeping both QB's would have helped especially with COVID protocol and mac only having 5 months of learning the playbook and the ongoing pressure of who is replacing/filling those size 15 GOAT shoes that Tom brady left.

Idk if ne stated that but that’s not what cam stated.

Apparently the absence didn’t play too Much a role according to cam, he felt it was inevitable that they were going to roll with Mac

Plenty of us appreciate what he did here and want only the best for 'em.  I like threads like this because frankly it just reveals the shitty posters that I can ignore.

I agree with some of this but it is refreshing to have actual dialogue with posters like yourself and others who are not still taking pop shots at cam, let alone former panther greats each go around

It was both business and football.  Unvaxed players are a liability, and having one in the QB room is a particularly big risk I think.  And, Jones is honestly the future of the Patriots, regardless of this season.

I think once a starter gets injured, Cam has a shot. I have a strong feeling Cam is better respected among active personnel in the NFL than he is fans and commentators.

I think it was a combination of both.  If the Pats had prime Cam then lack of vaccination would have been an inconvenience they had to live with.  With Mac progressing quickly in camp, they felt comfortable enough to roll with him and Cam's vaccination status was something that may have tipped the scales.
