We have zero chance to win if our defense keep on the fields and no help from our offense like the 2nd half last week.

This.  I have more confidence in the Panthers D than the O.  If the O can't produce sustained drives (including the 2nd half) our D will be gassed and NO will take the Panthers to the woodshed.

In conclusion:  O has to produce consistently for 4 quarters for the Panthers to win.

McCoy may be the biggest loss for them this week, Going up agaist Brown and Dequan Jones in the middle, I have far more confidence in our ability to slow Kamara this week.

I'd say Lattimore bc of the Panthers' receivers. Saints will be relying on Roby (fresh acquisition), Adebo (rook) and Trufant (lol).

McCoy's backup (Ruiz) is a starting caliber center.

I'll say Davenport the bigger loss he was probably surplanting Cameron Jordan as their best pass rusher. The Jet's had some no name cornerbacks as well and we barely exploited that.

I think the biggest key is keeping Sam upright and in a rhythm to avoid mistakes.

Multiple New Orleans Saints offensive assistant coaches and a nutritionist have tested positive for COVID-19, sources told the Times-Picayune, which places the team in intensive protocols ahead of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.

In addition to the multiple position coaches, a player has also tested positive for COVID-19, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The elevated protocols mean that all players and staffers must now be masked and undergo daily testing, regardless of vaccination status. Meetings with coaches who tested positive will now be over Zoom and meals must be pre-packaged taken to go.

Under normal protocols, vaccinated players and staff members are tested once a week while unvaccinated players are tested daily.

All of the Saints assistant coaches and the nutritionist have been vaccinated, in accordance with NFL protocols, so those who tested positive could be back in the fold for Sunday's game in Charlotte. The majority of the Saints' players are vaccinated, but there are a few who remain unvaccinated.

It is unknown at this time if anyone who tested positive has any symptoms.

The Saints remain in the Dallas/Fort Worth area due to Hurricane Ida. The team, along with many family members, evacuated to Texas ahead of the storm in late August. They will continue to practice at TCU this week ahead of Sunday's game.

Hanging out in Texas probably not the best idea.

Saints are one of the better coached teams in the league, but they are beatable. The Green Bay game, was more of a reflection on how bad the Packers were prepared than anything else. Jameis only passed for 148 yards and had 5 Td's, so that shows you the poor field position caused by crucial mistakes the Packers put themselves in.

One note: The Saints may be missing 3 starters for our game. The starting center was injured along with Lattimore, and Davenport.

McCoy only played five snaps.  Cesar Ruiz slipped into center from RG and played every snap for the rest of the game.  Ruiz was drafted as a center and I'll argue that he is better than McCoy.  He was only playing guard because he is also better at that position than McCoy.  Lattimore is day to day.  He played the entire second half with a cast on his hand.  There's a good chance he'll be able to play in a similar cast on Sunday.  However, the Saints will be getting new CB Bradley Roby who was projected to start anyway when coming off the suspension of the first game.  Davenport also missed most of the week one game and the remainder of the defensive line excelled without him.  This squad is extremely deep on both sides of the ball.

No doubt. That and the horrible fumble situation. I'm not placing blame in the post. I'm just saying we don't seem to take advantage of other teams screw ups. The Saints do. We need to capitalize on it like they do. I mean, it's not all on Darnold. There were other plays before and after those plays, but I agree he needs to get better there.

I mean, we did hit the Jets for a TD on the play directly after Shaq's INT, but I know what you mean.

    • It's not football OR basketball. Football runs the college sports world now. The ACC went all in on football with their expansion adding VT and Miami they just bet on bad horses. Those programs had peaked and were on the slide. This latest expansion reeks of sheer desperation. Cal, Stanford, and SMU? LOLOLOLOL  Those programs haven't been relevant for decades and we're the only P5 conference that would even consider them. It's over. FSU is suing to get out. Clemson is suing to get out. UNC wants out they're just too polite to cause a ruckus. It's a wrap. It's over.
