Was listening to Rich Eisen and he mentioned this. (The first 3 were Smitty)  Happy for D.J. since he has had to endure years of below average QB play going back to Maryland.

As an added bonus, plenty of self-loathing from a Jets fan.

I think it is funny that when we drafted him.  SS said we finally have someone who can take over for him.

Steve Smith did say the night DJ was drafted that the Panthers hadn’t found a replacement for him, until now.

D.J. has been solid....overlooked because of playing for the Panthers the last couple of years.  He is a top 5 receiver EZ.

Smitty was right about him, hope he has him on his fantasy team like I do!

Rich Eisen has long been my favorite talking head. He's likable and doesn't usually spout the typical takes. I remember watching him months ago saying how much he liked Darnold and how he thought he would do well here.

I remember when the huddle thought Samuel was better and DJ wasn't a #1 and needed to be shipped off.
