I knew Gross-Matos was injured but didn't realize it was going to be a multi-week injury.  Oh well. Let the big man rest up.

Yeah that's a bummer, didn't expect to be without him too. He's been okay but a lesser piece on our DL this year so not the biggest loss but he'll still be missed in the rotation. His run D has been rock solid.

I suspect we won't really know until a few months from now. Depends on how he heals and also how the team does in his absence. Timeframe was 2-3+ months, if we continue to play extremely well and his rehab goes smoothly we probably get him back for some of that tough stretch late in the regular season. If we start to throw the season away and aren't really in the playoff mix and his recovery is taking closer to the 3 months end of that timeframe then there's no reason to rush him back and we'd likely just play it safe and shut him down. Hard to have an answer definitively right now.

I definitely think you are right.  There is no benefit in deciding now.

Most likely:

D Jax
CJ
Chinn
Franklin
Bouye

Here's the thing -

If you told Panthers fans last February that those guys would be our secondary, we likely would have gone "Wow, that's not the worst secondary we've ever fielded.  Combine them with our rush and we may be ok this year."

To which we then added Reddick, Morgan Fox and DaQuan Jones.

that is forsure the right move, I think part of it too is what route of surgery does he want to take.

He stays on the injury list when he gets there. He's a very slow healer.
