The fumble (that was CLEARLY a fumble) no-call changed the trajectory of that game.

That being said, we were up 14-13 at the half. We got blown out in the 3rd. That’s on us. We need a better o-line. Darnold played better than he should have with this line.

That no call was infuriating. Would've been a huge momentum shift for us and we would've been more comfortable heading into the second half with more confidence.

Pathetic reffing display again, but we gotta overcome it.

Facts. Like I said, it could have been the difference, but we will never know. We were still up going into half but got destroyed in the 3rd….so who knows? But it definitely gave Dallas a spark. Anyone who says it didn’t matter much doesn’t understand LIFE much less football.

We are exactly where I predicted before the regular season began, 3-1 with a loss to Dallas.
(Just to state again, that No Call was a load of crap and heavily favored Dallas. I’m still pissed.)

3-1?

what?

well I didn’t watch the game, wasn’t in Dallas to see it, and don’t trust the NFL experts so I’m not so sure Dallas won and we lost.

I’m going to do my own research and wait to see who really  won this game

Actually a lot of fans I know saw us as undefeated after three games due to the competition, me included so I wasn’t surprised. We should be able to stack up some wins until the tough part of our schedule comes around.

Kick off the dirt, put your heads up, and let's move on to the next game and show we can improve from this.

Here! Here! My thoughts as well.  Nothing to be ashamed of at this point.  I'm looking for many more wins and minimal loss, if any more.

My concern is that we didn't look like we belonged on the field with them until they bafflingly went prevent and rested their best DB late.

we did the whole first half

once they got up on is they could pin their ears back and get after darnold with this POS OL, causing him to make bad decisions

we certainly looked like we belonged first half and if it werent for the bullshit foreward progress call, we could have gotten up on them and flipped the game script with us pinning our ears back

What game were you watching where they scored 20 of their points on short fields and big plays?

we don’t belong? Please.

The ultimate momentum shifter honestly and the real reason Dallas one.

They got more short fields than us and capitalized. They also created more turnovers.

Panthers were competitive up to that point. Not many teams in the league can overcome a situation like that.

They adjusted at halftime and we didn't. Felt like the good old days again.

I've been thinking about this a bit, and I keep wondering if that's the problem.  Seems like our offense goes in at halftime and says "We're moving the ball well, points will come, keep doing what we're doing".  Even if we're right, we're wrong.  Even the defense seems to lag a bit.

Someone on that staff needs to be thinking a step ahead.  "Ok, we did well, what adjustments will the opponents make to slow us down?  How will we react to that?"  It's like we take a quarter or so to adjust when we should have been ready for it coming out.

Panthers were also competitive to make it an 8-point game.

    • Why does it matter?  Assuming he gets fired here, if the dude never works again he's set for life. Retired at 46?  Not bad.  Where do I sign up?
    • There are so many problem with the knee-jerk-Cam's-done hot takes. Did you even watch the game?  Did you see our OLine?  Yea, it was the worst it's been all season. Do you judge a QB by one game, really?  Why not choose Sam's game against the Jets, or Saints and judge him on that?  Or TB5's first game against Atlanta last year? And again, did you watch the game?  Did you really look at those plays?  Why is it that our receivers are not running open?  It seems that there is always a contested catch or defender closing down.  Our play design is not very good. It's so disheartening to see our fan base act like a bunch of children when it comes to their "hot takes".  I said it when Cam came in and I'll keep saying it now.  He may succeed or he may fail, but we won't know if Cam is still an NFL QB until the season is over.  We brought a guy off his couch to play the hardest position in football on a team that isn't very good.  Two weeks in we can't suddenly determine his success or failure.
    • Looking at Cams career and the fact he doesn't want to QB2, I wouldn't be surprised if he retires after this year. NE was his best bet to comeback and be relevant again but the NFL spoke with no takers after he was let go. He's back home and can retire as a Panther, we owe him for those great years, years that probably shorten his career. I hope I'm wrong but it may be time for Cam to protect himself and start raising his kids. It sounded like he enjoyed the downtime this season with his family and this team is too green for a vet like him. Luke knew when it was time to go and I hope Cam will know too. It going to be a couple of years to sort out this team and build a above average O line.
