I can tell you, as a life long “designated driver” and observing drunk and high people most of my life - beginning HS and college, they have zero awareness of their impairment.

Wow.  I was just in Vegas 2 weeks ago and the Uber’s there were surprisingly cheap.  My dad was just in Houston and it was $70+ dollars for an 8 minute ride, compared to $15-20 in Vegas.  No excuse if you’re there partying, especially if you’re a millionaire.  Now people have lost a family member they had no idea they would lose so soon.

Such a senseless tragedy. And on the NFL part of this -- who cares, the loss of an innocent life is worth more than this game.

As someone who has gotten a DWI before, I am damn lucky nothing like this ever happened to me. This is terrible for the family and him. I guarantee he had no ill intentions, but he fuged up royally. Everyone loses.

The kid is probably done in the NFL. This isn’t beating a woman up or injuring someone in a wreck. He killed someone. He’s likely won’t end up in prison though and that’s what sucks.
