Which trade was worse 2nd for Darnold or 3rd for Henderson?

I’d say 3rd for Henderson. This young man has been a HEALTHY scratch and is basically going to be out of the league by the end of the season

Darnold while proving to be likely our worst second rounder not named Everette Brown, he at least has a future in the Matt Leinart Clipboard Holding Academy as a backup QB

Both were awful.  Henderson just isn’t cut out for the nfl.  That trade hurts badly not only because we lost a 3rd rounder, but also the only TE on our roster worth a darn.

Sams deal set us back a few years.  We passed on two QBs that are better than Sam and lost multiple picks.

Darnold was a high risk, high reward shot. He has the physical ability, so it was a worthwhile risk. Not mad that they gave it a go and are trying to find the future franchise QB. 0-2, let’s see who’s next.

The only reason to be upset is if Darnold is the dude next year. right now is just a matter of living with this one until they can find the next option. with our needs at OL and QB, this is going to be a busy offseason.

Before hating on Henderson just remember how long it took josh Norman to develop, hell even Jackson wasn’t good at first. Some players just take a few years to develop. Henderson isn’t as bad as many 1st round CBs have been. He’s been okay but still has potential.

Jackson was good his rookie season, Norman was a late round pick.

    • yeah, I'm super hard on Bryce.  But he is likeable in the end.  He didn't complain at all despite their being tons to complain about if you were him last year.   And he dusted his little self off over and over last year.  I think if he fine tunes a lot and gets help....he can be a decent player.   The Panthers setup the expectations out of reach w/ the trade IMO.  #1 overall already comes w/ near unrealistic expectations.  Huge trade just added even more.  He doesn't have the tools to live up to the spot they essentially put him in.  Which isn't really a Bryce thing in the end but a Carolina thing.  The assets in the end put up beside what he will be is never going to look good on paper.
    • Time will tell, but I think the best quarterback to come out of this class will be Michael Penix. But yes, it definitely seems like Caleb Williams is going to be a difficult personality to mesh with an NFL locker room.
    • I think Caleb is a massive bust waiting to happen. He is supremely talented but yeah, he seems like he's a really bad mixture of very cocky and also mentally fragile. There WILL be bumps in the road at the NFL level. There's gonna be games where you just go out there and get your ass kicked. I'm not sure if he's built to handle that. I for sure think he's boom or bust. He's either really gonna translate or he really won't. I said the same about Cam. There's certain prospects that I just don't see a whole lot of room for them to be alright. They're either gonna come in and kick ass or just flop hard. People think I hate Bryce and I don't. He seems like a really good dude. I just don't think he has the physical talent to be a high level NFL starting QB.
