All we heard all last week from everybody was what a great story and how fun having cam in the league again was. He’s not hated by the media 🤣

Agreed!

My sense is folks in all walks of life, including me, are very happy for Cam and excited to see him do well...

...but that doesn't mean he can't be evaluated like any other NFL player and if warranted, criticized...

...and that's OK.  (ex. the nut huggers that is)

I was at the game and I cannot deny this.

Cam played well but my buddy and I kept saying over and over, "Imagine if we hadn't let him go."

He may not be an elite QB but imagine how 2020 and 2021 might have gone with him simply on the roster.

I was there also with my son, section 523. I was really impressed with his arm strength/accuracy, scramble while looking down field and poise under the conditions. The  atmosphere was electric and BOA was the loudest I’ve heard in quite some time. Dude just kept converting, with clutch throws and with his legs.

stans are butthurt per usual lol it’s the cam can do no wrong, stans and cam vs the world…glad you ‘Panther fans’ found your login

the media has been all over cam aside a very small few, might want to ask yourself why these few represent all media to you and why everyone has to agree and how this reflects your own insecurities

I think you show off your insecurities more with these whiney passive aggressive posts moreso than the people who just want to see Cam AND The Carolina Panthers succeed

Yeah. It sucked but was also very impressive.

Key words "on the field"  because he was on there a lot more than cam was.

Well, when you are 2-9 (22%) on third down and the other team is converting almost half of theirs (6-13), that’s 12 more opportunities.

Cam had the chance to win the game with 1:50 left in the game, so yeah he had the FINAL opportunity. poo happens but “it is what it is” and “missed opportunities” was served up as crow on a silver platter.

Some of this stuff just isn't helpful to anyone. You would hope there would be lessons learned all around after all these years but seeing the same garbage about nuthuggers and arguments about what so and so said is just headache inducing. Try evolving and just enjoying this for however long it lasts folks.

Can you clarify what you mean by this statement?

Booger needs to appeal to a mostly white conservative audience and to do so he must join in on their Cam hate.

Black QBs aren’t debated the same as their white counterparts and it’s not even close. Booger uses a lot of the same code language that whites do when discussing black QBs. Stephen A Smith does this a lot as well. He goes out of his way to be more critical of black QBs so nobody can ever paint him as the black man putting on his cape for other blacks. Can’t do that and have a successful Sports TV show in America sadly.

I don't know. As a white conservative I'd say on the field Mahomes is universally lauded.

So is Russ So is Watson.

Cam played as well as should be expected against Washington but let's be honest he's not in the same category as those guys. They are all way better passers.

    • Canales will be looking at the next crop of QB's in case Young fails as he did in year one. I won't say Young will be pulled quickly cause Tepper is going to give him every chance to be the Number 1 QB in Carolina, but if he flops. I see another QB picked next year to give him competition. We also need to see if the new OL additions are going to perform to what we paid them or will we be disappointed again and watch Young running for his life as the walls come crashing in as last year. The first 5 games are going to be interesting.
    • I haven’t really looked at the QBs except just a little looking into Rattler.  My first thoughts, without looking at Penix Jr, lead me to...  spending 33 on a QB - that’s your top pick two year in a row. It is a huge statement. It screams flat out replacement ASAP. I am a charter member of the hard core buh bye Bryce bunch, but it is a very heavy handed thing where you probably dead end Bryce whether Penix Jr is the guy or not. And the effect on the team psyche is, well the potential for dysfunction is high. Maybe not the best approach. Unless Penix Jr is Really The Guy. In which case, I am like Bryce freaking who? You mean our overpaid backup? Edit: I think what I am trying to say is ity shouldn’t cost that  much to replace Bryce, in my mind. But the goal isn’t really just to get over that bar by a little, it is to get The Guy. But I definitely want them to put some competition in his path. I am gonna watch some Penix Jr stuff.
