Cam Newton should be done as a starting QB in this league

It has zero to do with his point, which is no one is overreacting to Lamar’s bad game.

if the only time you create a thread is after a bad game by cam that’s pretty telling, what was physically lacking yesterday from him ?

I cautioned about getting too hyped about Cam even when he performed well. Look up history

It's one game. Let's see how he looks out of the bye week.

This exactly. Yes, Cam played badly, yes the o-line sucked, DJ dropped first two passes, CMac hurt most of game, and OC is a joke.   Cam genuinely played well last week, and he still is only 3 weeks into the playbook with limited playing time.  Hopefully the whole TEAM plays better after the bye

The dolphins have a good defense and it's the nfl, they watch film. Same that everyone did with Darnold. Guys on the line starting throwing their hands up and that worked. The problem is purely on Brady. Why are we just running quick slants and RPO's? The defense knew what was coming. We all knew what's being called every play. Cam has been better behind this line than the other two QBs. DJ had his typical drop game that happens once a month. The defense doesn't blitz, and three and outs bring the defense right back on the field. It falls on the gameplan. The stats are surface level. They're babying him like they baby everyone.

This was definitely a team loss. Regarding Cam, we'll know what we have by the end of the season.

I don't get the overreactions because it's not like we've had consistent NFL caliber QB play at any point this season.

If Cam doesn't cut it, it cost us nothing.

If you think Cam is the issue after 3 weeks of practice playing behind:

LT - Daley - 6th Round Pick // 3rd string LT

LG - Mike Jordan - 4th Round Pick // Waiver signee // Penalty waiting to happen

C - Pat Elflein - Former 2nd turned JAG // Journeyman // 2nd String C

RG - John Miller to UDFA Trent Scott former 3rd string LT

RT - Moton - Only solid to good O-Lineman we have

Then you just can't see it, Mahomes looked PEDESTRIAN in the Superbowl when their OL was down to backups that were 2nd, 3rd, and 4th string with Remmers. This is the NFL, you cannot ignore the OL, and they (KC) attacked it this past off-season.

This staff went about things backwards by starting with an ALL DEFENSIVE DRAFT -- then selecting only ONE pre-day three OL pick (Christenesen). I can't fault FA acquisitions due to what was available.

You can't run, or throw without sustained blocks, and this OL just can't do it.

We are running slants and RPOs because our offensive line offers no protection to our QBs (no matter who they are) and also fails to open up any significant running lanes for our RBs.

We cannot even attempt plays that take longer than 5 seconds to develop because within 3 seconds our QB is either swarmed or sacked.  We don't have protection for a QB to even go through route progressions...we truly have no other offensive strategy and that's why we are so predictable.
