No particular order, current favs are:

  • Ticket to Ride
  • Carcassonne
  • Wits & Wagers
  • Apples to Apples (*house rules only*)
  • Family Feud
  • Catchphrase
  • Codenames
  • Uno
  • Bridge
  • Euchre
  • Hearts / Spades
  • Sevens
  • Bulls***
  • Mexican Train
  • Almost all the Jackbox games, like Quiplash

Kinda tired of all the Cards against Humanity-style games. CAH only seems to be worthwhile if you have a TON of cards available as opposed to just one or two packs that everyone's seen.

Ticket to Ride is great and the European Routes version is a lot of fun.

Sushi Go is a fun little card game, easy to pick up, always makes folks happy.

Flux is also a fun card game, with lots of variant packs.

Secret Hitler is darned good, and isn't as coarse as one would think.

Talisman is a classic, but be prepared for a long, long game.

Arkham Horror can be a blast if you have a group of friends who are into HP Lovecraft or at least know about the mythos.

Forbidden Island is a great cooperative game.

We've enjoyed Sushi Go, too

Flux can be entertaining, but needs the right crowd.

I'm not a fan of Secret Hitler; I find other "guessing" games more entertaining. Maybe it needs more playthroughs on my part.

I like Talisman online; the iOS port seems pretty good.

Forgot to add earlier:  Pandemic and Azul.

Been trying to play Betrayal at House on the Hill, Small World, and Gloom -- but nobody seems to want to dive into these.

Betrayal can be great fun. Haven't tried Small World and Gloom yet.

Anyone else ever play Twixt? It's an older game that I loved as a kid but haven't ever found anyone else who plays/has played it.

I have a ton of older games that nobody wants to dig into.

Have a number of friends who want to have "game night", but then say "bring a game" without having a plan of what they'd actually want to play.   Plus they invite 8-10 people, which severely limits the number of games one can play with a group that large.

    • I’m more disheartened by the notion that we are terrible at evaluating talent. So not only do we not have much talent, actually drafting talented people seems to be a challenge. I don’t see a fix with our current drafting and evaluation philosophy. Ultimately I see Carolina as a farm team for the rest of the NFL. What little talent we have will be signed away by other teams. It’s a shame. Tepper destroyed this team.
    • At this point you throw all that out and take BPA. What we sorely need are actual NFL starting caliber players. There are extremely few of those on the roster and less than 5 that will likely be here in two seasons.  Just start building with players. Not dumb reaches, actual players. If it fills a critical need, fine. If not, no big deal. Just get some actual talent on the roster for a change.  If we start there, a couple of drafts from now we might have the luxury of trying to fill actual roster needs.
    • I think xl looks exactly like i thought he would before the draft.   No separation and limited route tree.  The drops and body catching have been a bit of a surprise.   I wouldn't say he's looked horrible.  I will sau he hasn't done anything to ease my concerns.  I also think Coker looked better with less opportunities
