I would be willing to bet someone picks him up just to use him for a playoff run hoping they can keep him in line for a short time. The NFL exploits the hell out of players, pays them well then casts them aside when done having no regard for them or their mental health after football is done I believe.

I’m not disagreeing with you or excusing it. But damn I wish I was being exploited for a few million dollars rather than the 24 an hour I get exploited for currently.

I doubt anyone is touching AB again either way. He doesn't have much in the way of benefit of doubt based on his history, but this seems like something the NFLPA will likely help him challenge.

He needs to get a full psychology evaluation and probably have a guardian 24/7. The dude has got some serious CTE issues and he’s only in his early 30’s though part of yesterday could be what ever pain killers he was hopped up on for his ankle. He was only signed by the bucs because Brady wanted him specifically.

Regarding the NFLPA though I would not be surprised if they submit a grievance against the Bucs soon based on the reporting AB said he couldn’t play due to injury and the team basically saying “you’re lying, fug you.”

There is most likely some merit to that and not what an organization wants to be dealing with during a playoff run. Would not be surprised if AB would win something like that. Not getting hired in the future? No not a chance.

Brady all but m acknowledged in post game that there are some serious issues. Dude likely has horrible CTE.

He's always been this way, apparently.

A couple of posters on a Canes board I'm on have known him since High School (he's from Miami). Quote below:

"He does whoever have some insane mood swings, he’ll go from being calm AF to being super mad for no reason at all, but he usually just will walk away to calm himself down, he’s always been like that, which is why I’m certain he has untreated Bipolar disorder.

He just hates authority & doesn’t like being told what to do."

I guess in reality his personality isn’t much different than Steve smith who did a lot of stupid poo, especially earlier in his career. He was just able to channel it into competitiveness and eventually matured some. Brown has never crossed that line.

Everyone should go watch the video when Vontaze hit him.  People thought he may be just dead after it it was so brutal and intentional.  You can ask any Pit fan and there is a lot of people that knew him before that that said after that hit everything completely changed.  Unfortunately, despite the pleas of users in this thread you can't really test for CTE right now unless someone is dead.

It is kind of sad that immediately people go defend the billion dollar franchises before the gladiator on the field who obviously should have better care going his way or something.   Even if Brown had some issues before the hit, the fact is it's been proven that other factors combined with CTE is a bad recipe.  Guys like Aaron Hernandez and Chris Benoit.  It's been obvious something isn't right for a while yet we're letting NFL franchises off the hook that keep signing someone that needs help.  Do we really think these people that were with him daily and for hours training didn't know something was happening?  He was producing on the field so that is all that mattered.

There are more reports coming out that say he just didn't feel like he was healthy enough.  Many athletes have said that and aren't forced to go into the game.  However they probably felt he was desperate to reach the contract incentives and they could force him into the game.

TO was a diva WR, but AB is insane.  The craziest thing TO did was cut that promo where he was doing sit ups in his driveway.  Or some funny TD celebration.

Exactly. The NFL was full o' sh¡t back then. Still is now to a lesser degree. The media is as full o' poo as it ever was. T.O.'s performance in the Super Bowl didn't even shut down the decidedly stupid narratives about him. He largely just wanted to win.

This entire post is garbage. And as a lifelong Steelers fan, he was plenty volatile before that hit. He was a head case in HS and college. It’s why he got kicked out of FIU among other incidents. so when did his CTE kick in?  It’s not a blanket excuse for any football player to do the dumbest things imaginable.

They told him to go in twice. He refused twice. Every player is told to leave at that point. Nothing looked wrong with his ankle as he stormed off throwing pads and clothes. All while releasing his new rap single, YESTERDAY!!! Just in the last couple years he’s attack delivery drivers, accused of assault on women, threw furniture off a balcony almost hitting children, committed a federal offense with fake Vax card, along with trashing PIT, OAK, and NE on his way out the door. He’s a sociopath and has been for a very long time.

The NFL let Vontaze play incident after incident after incident as well:

I guess every WR from before the rule changes can do anything and blame it on CTE. I’ve seen Lynn Swann get hit worse that that 10-15 times a year. How is it he’s still doing quite well.

I believe he was told he was benched and that's what caused his outburst. He may have thought he wouldn't be played next week and felt they were skating on his money, so, he bounces. maybe?

I’d give him the benefit of the doubt if he didn’t have a huge history of things like this.  He fired his chef because he found a fish head for soup in his freezer and thought it was a mob threat.  This is the guy who faked his vaccination cards.  He simply needs help, but it’s near impossible to help someone who doesn’t want to help themself
