Another Canes disappointment.

A 2-0 lead to begin the game, only to allow three goals in the second period and lose 3-2.

Are you sure I wasn't watching a repeat?

You act surprised.

I don't care what anybody says about this team "getting better" or "playing harder". All they're doing is playing the patented Paul Maurice dump & run and playing not to lose.

I played long enough ,and coached long enough to know this team isn't going anywhere. They get a lead and lay back. When you have a 2 goal lead you don't sit back, you go at them and build that lead. A 2 goal lead is the WORST lead to have in hockey.

There are way too many holes on this team to fill in one season. So everyone just enjoy watching some hockey because this team isn't going anywhere. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I don't see it happening.

      No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad

      I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.

      Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible.
