What happens if we have the same season in 22 and he is brought back again?

I know everyone is thinking it won’t happen, but it is a 7 year contract. What happens if we go 5-12 or 6-11 next season and another excuse is bought. How many seasons would it take? 4? 6?

I’m personally hoping sources are wrong and the bastard is gone Monday. But surely after another season like this it would be time to move on right?

For me, nothing but I don't care nearly as much as people on this board seem. I have a wonderful life regardless of what is going on in Panther land. I dont get stressed out during bad times. I am almost positive next season is his last chance to to turn things around here. I think Tepper wants to see what he is made of at a time like this and if he can turn it around. If not we get a high pick and start to rebuild again.

It’s not rocket science how to build a team at ANY level…. from the inside (OL/DL) out.

Its pretty much the cornerstone truism of football.

You can win with average edge play if your lines are solid.  But if your lines suck?  You WILL lose more often than you win.

It depends.  If we start out 3-0 people will be here asking how to by superbowl tickets.  Then when it fails, they'll be talking about how bad this team sucks.

I think Rhule is back on a short leash.  I think he has to break .500 or he's gone. Tepper is waiting for his investment to mature, but I would believe his patience is wearing thin.

    • This is what is so frustrating about our team's predicament. We were in pretty bad shape, but gaining cap space, and clearing up the Marty Mess...we should have done a hard rebuild...right when... Brady was nearing the end, Brees was all but done and the Saints had mortgaged, Atlanta is Atlanta and Ryan is getting older... We were setup to do it correctly and have a division winner for a few years in a row...consistent winning football. Nope, hire a college, keep the worst GM in the league, hire no NFL guys to help wite a full rebuild and being a new NFL owner...etc... We had a chance to take advantage, and crapped the bed.  Now we are all in purgatory.
